I do have a somewhat milder case of red/green color deficiency. Known my whole life.

I missed the scoring chart at the bottom and actually felt I did poorly at a 31, but apparently that is good. Who knew?! lol

It appears to not be entirely about color vision accuracy, as it is about ability to distinguish something different in a field of the same. You don't necessarily need perfect color vision in order to score well, apparently.

I have known that my ability to see various shades isn't that diminished, but understanding WHAT shades they are, that is difficult. Some shades don't have enough information for me to correctly identify them, but when it comes from distinguishing shades against other shades to determine what is different, I guess I'm not that bad. But don't try me with light pinks, that is one of my worst shades apparently. I've seen light pink that looked gray to me.

I went from a 9 to 29. Trick was to cross your eyes, it makes the "irregular" colored square pop out at you real quick before your brains re-adjust it away.

Ugh. Did this on my iPhone and got to 40, but couldn't get past 15 on my PC.

Guess I need a new monitor.

Got to 18 on my pc the first time and I didn't realize I was being timed.

Not sure if my 10 year old ccfl tn monitor affected the results.

Your colour vision is superb. You wouldn't have any problems surviving in the jungle. You can see when the neighbouring tiger visits the bathroom faaaar away.

That's not the game's fault.

It was great on my calibrated monitors, which aren't high-end in the least.

Heh, as I test, I just ran through it on my Xperia Z3V, which has an outstanding IPS display.

I also got stuck at the same place, scored 31. I think that was definitely one of the shades where I just can't see the difference.

Did that one years ago. Thought that was even easier. Did quite well from what I recall. But will have to try it again, when I'm less bored of colors.

I've seen that test numerous times, and each time, I started trying my hand at it, and would give up in frustration and refuse to continue.

I finally mustered the courage to see it through the end, and low and behold, this one produces the results I would expect given my color vision condition.

Same here. The colors changed substantially depending on my viewing angle. The later tests looked like a gradient test pattern.

I got to 29. The entire top row looked dark. Then I sat up a bit, and half of the blocks changed color.


Sometimes I really miss my good old 21" Trinitron CRT. :\
I've not yet used an LCD that compares to it in image quality or pixel response rate, but I don't miss its 70lbs of glass. (That is to say, I'm sure I could get a nice IPS that would match its color and pixel response rate, if I allocated a full month's salary toward the purchase.)



Edit: Checked the specs on my monitor. 6-bit, so I guess I'm limited to 262k colors on static images. (They claim 16M with frame rate control dithering....I don't know how well that'll actually work though, at least for something like this.)
72% NTSC color gamut.

I'll have to give it a shot on my tablet. I think it uses an IPS screen.

Seriously, I was fed up after the second row, but I plodded onward, detrimentally most likely.

I tried to look away or unfocus my eyes from time to time, which helped a little bit. I was probably a tad bit reckless toward the end, just thinking "eh, that's close enough, my eyes hate me right now."

However, my monitor is piss poor calibrated and I have really shitty eyes, even with glasses on.
