Eyefinity doesn't recognize monitor connected to 2nd xfire card

I "upgraded" one of my rigs to win10 and it gave me the new catalyst driver, which I really didn't want.

I have 2 HD 7xxx cards in that machine and had 2 monitors connected to one and 1 to the other. Under the old drivers, this worked perfectly. But I was using the desktop arrangement feature and not eyefinity.

With the new driver, eyefinity is my only choice for multiple monitors and it doesn't see the 3rd monitor (plugged in to the second card)

Now this isn't really a tragedy since all I have to do is convert one of the display ports to HDMI, which I'm going to try to do later.

But I was curious if anyone else had run into this problem. There's probably a thread for it so if you can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Wow, you got that to work ever? I've never been able to. AFAIK AMD requires all monitors plugged into one card. I've had no success trying to split between the two cards.

That shouldn't have worked AFAIK, as in crossfire mode all input is only for the primary card. Can you try using onboard video for the other monitor?

Can I run AMD Eyefinity technology with AMD CrossFire™ technology?

Any AMD Eyefinity technology configuration that works with a single graphics card will work with AMD CrossFire™ technology, however all monitors must connect to the primary graphics card. In most systems, this will be the GPU installed closest to the CPU. This is true for both AMD Radeon™ graphics and AMD FirePro™ professional graphics products.

Yes - with the old drivers that had both eyefinity and desktop management (not sure that's the correct name), you could do it under desktop mgt.

I had 2 samsungs plugged into the primary card and a sony bravia into the secondary.

That is completely different from Eyefinity though. Eyefinity treats all three monitors as one monitor.

Plugging into the second card is not, and has never been a supported configuration for AMD Eyefinity.

Very true, which is why I was hoping to keep the old driver. I had tried the new driver on another machine and my only option was eyefinity. They removed desktop management.

Anyway, I found a display port adapter - dp to dvi. Then used a dvi to hdmi plug. Waiting to see if it will work. W10 seems to take forever to boot up on that machine.

You should be able to used Display Properties to setup your 3 monitor non-eyefinity desktop. This is what I do, no need for an option in Crimson control panel. I will note however that my configuration was all plugged into the primary card.
