Trump is just a useful idiot & an embarrassment to the GOP. Sessions & the rest are working their right wing agenda in a variety of ways, anyway. If Mueller delivers the goods they'll leave the Donald twisting in the wind in a New York second. President Pence will be much more to their liking.

Oh, I completely agree. The GOP at this point, is getting their agenda accomplished without too much complaint, due to all the Trump noise, keeping people from really paying attention to what the GOP is doing to this country. With Trump out of the way, we will at least be more focused on the GOP crap that's going down. But, getting rid of Trump will not affect the GOP agenda, and might actually make it easier for them to get more of their horrible policies passed. Vote the mothers out is the only real answer.

Don’t forget the tweet storms going 24/7. At minimum some Republicans would have to vote for removal. Trump would have to go to jail to prevent that. The choices would be
Deal with a never ending tweet storm of how shitty Republicans are
Have the only President go to jail and accept what damage that does to the Republican Party.
Both choices suck. Maybe there would be enough support to pass some kind of law regarding Presidential Pardons and having terms on it, like you don’t speak in public ever again and no charges will be applied. The instant you speak in public pardon has been removed.

I don't think pence can keep the base support together. His message is I hate the LGBT community and and a fanatical christian which isn't as catchy as MAGA. Plus it would be hard to fit on a hat.

I don't think so, either, but I was speaking in terms of governing rather than getting elected. The GOP is engaged in a form of looting. An increasing share of this nation's wealth & income has gone to the financial elite at the expense of the rest of us. That's what trickle down economic policy accomplishes & what the GOP facilitates at every opportunity.

The Steele Dossier says Cohen was deeply embroiled in the collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. So far I have seen little reason to doubt the credibility of the bulk of that dossier.

I think at this point Mueller knows pretty much everything. Between Cohen, Manafort and Flynn alone I doubt there are any important machinations of whatever was going on that he hasn't pieced together. Which is not to say the probe will end soon. It's one thing for Mueller to know something and another to possess solid enough proof for a near sure conviction. He'll take whatever time he needs to obtain corroborating evidence for whatever these guys are telling him before concluding the investigation. He has, however, I think assembled all the major elements of the narrative.

At this point, if I'm a betting man, we're going to see a recommendation for a raft of felonies against Trump Jr., Kushner, and Trump himself. If that turns out to be true, what happens next may well be one of the most consequential events in American history.

And there can be no mistake made about the fact that no one is more responsible for the Trump Clan's epic problems that they are now embroiled in than Trump himself, no matter how hard his supporters try to lay the blame on the deep state, or the Democrats, or Mueller, or the traitors that were his friends and whomever else they will eventually shake their crooked swamp encrusted fingers at.

Cohen alleged that Trump made a disparaging comment about African-American voters when they were discussing the turnout for one of his 2016 campaign rallies.

"I told Trump that the rally looked vanilla on television. Trump responded, 'That's because black people are too stupid to vote for me,' " the President's former lawyer told the magazine.

Cohen claimed that when South African leader Nelson Mandela died, Trump remarked, "'Name one country run by a black person that's not a s***hole,' and then he added, 'Name one city.'"

He said that when he and Trump were traveling to Chicago in the late 2000s, "we were going from the airport to the hotel, and we drove through what looked like a rougher neighborhood."

"Trump made a comment to me, saying that only the blacks could live like this," Cohen told Vanity Fair.

Cohen also claimed that Trump said "there's no way'" he could let an African-American contestant from season one of "The Apprentice" be the reality show's winner.

i really think he's had his "come to jesus" moment. he's married with college aged children and knows that he's not far from prison time. he's gotten away with white collar crimes, many being alongside trump, for decades. not unlike many mobsters once they've been caught, they suddenly get very honest and will talk about anything in an attempt to save themselves, be it from prison time, fines, or religious damnation. Cohen's accounts of trump's racism are not surprising and sound exactly like what i would expect any deplorable to say in private.

When it comes to big time white collar criminal conspiracy, almost everybody rolls over when busted because they were all weasels in the first place. It's the smart move. Being a stand up guy just gets you more time, sometimes a lot more. They don't have the same kind of "watch your back" issues as mafiosi.

Unfortunately, more evidence that Trump is racist is like confirming that water is wet. Nothing to see here that he hasn't made clear.
