Well I presume that Cohen is smart enough to have well and truly attempted to scrape any physical evidence implicating him in crimes associated with Trump well before the FBI searches. This is not to say that the FBI won't or hasn't found anything. Or that they have found things through other means for which there is suspiciously missing evidence.

I wonder if Trump's statements about Cohen acting independently with Stormy's payoff somehow informed the finding of probable cause. If that conflicts with something that Cohen has said or given the appearance of, it is justification for seeking more evidence provided there is a foundation that likely connects to a crime.

I think that getting this close to Trump at this time has to be meaningful. With what implications? I really don't know.

It is very clear from this raid that Rod Rosenstein is anti-semitic.

I tried, that's the best spin I could manage. Cohen is f_ed <shrug>

I'm overdosing on schadenfreude. Cohen is Megafucked™, and likely every other crony associated with him. Plus it's only Tuesday!

EDIT: Not a single post from our resident Trump defenders? Jesus. This really must be that serious.

there's a thread about banning knives in the UK where they need to congregate and patriotically defend their freedom.

NYT says part of the warrant covers information on at least two women that got payments and AMI (National Enquirer)'s role in silencing people/paying out.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/10/us/politics/trump-russia-mueller-rosenstein.html

Based on the info coming out so far from the various outlets this is by no means the full extent of the issues that the warrant covers.

And...taxi medallions?

https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/10/politics/michael-cohen-search-warrant/index.html

More info on medallions:

Soooooooooo...laundering, racketeering and.....?????????

Getting a Manafortish vibe off of this.

How many people are willing to, potentially, go to prison for decades (possibly the rest of their lives) and enjoy total financial ruin to protect Trump?

The SDNY US attorney that Trump picked is apparently recused from the Cohen investigation, a recusal approved by...Rod Rosenstein.

There's gotta be black fucking smoke coming out of Trump's ears at this point.

For Herr Trump:

Some other info that I've picked up that is all just so interesting....

He has deep personal connections to Ukraine. He is married to a Ukrainian, as is his younger brother, Bryan. The brothers dabbled in Ukrainian business, and his name is on two family financial companies in Ukraine incorporated in 1998. He and his younger brother were directors of International Ethanol of Ukraine, according to 2006 filings, Bloomberg reported.

He got rich selling medallions.

It's believed he help broker the sale of multiple Trump tower residences to "private buyers" from the Ukraine.

Oh what a tangled web we weave!

8. Earlier this year Cohen tweeted pictures of his college-age daughter in black lingerie to his 218,000 followers. “Jealous?” he tweeted at critics.

On the subject of Tucker Carlson: the more time goes on, the more I'm convinced the "la la la, I can't hear you" approach of Fox News and other conservative outlets is going to backfire. They're going to wake up one day with Trump either in handcuffs or his administration in shambles (moreso than it is now, that is), and they'll have to explain that it was because of things they pretended weren't happening.

I mean, Fox will undoubtedly try to frame it as if it's a sinister, out-of-the-blue conspiracy, but they may have to provide a whole lot of missing backstory while they fire up their spin machine.

Watch Hannity from last night full on bullshit.

More and more it looks like Mueller's got Trump's nuts in a vise and is tightening it juuuuuussst enough for Trump to feel some real excruciating pain from it and then does it all over again and again and again.

Poor poor Trump. It's like he's already paying for the vile and oh so clueless way he's running his dwindling administration. This mayhem, this chaos that pundits like to describe the way Trump likes to operate? IMO, it's not that he likes things this way, it's that his utter incompetence and self-serving attitude makes things come out that way.

I can't think of any other logical explanation for why any leader, from the lowliest to the highest where Trump is wreaking his own special kind of damage would actually like to run things the way he is.

It's not a skill or preference of his. It's his extremely narrow minded racist view of the world, his narcissism and the total lack of talents and abilities that is required when it comes to being a player on the world stage where the stakes on the table is the survival of the nation as we know it.

I hope those folks who tipped the scales in favor of Trump being elected have had some kind of epiphany, some semblance of common sense and awareness to fully understand, accept responsibility for the mistake they made in electing Trump and are now willing to make the changes needed to correct the monumental problems they've caused from putting Trump in charge of the nation.

The evidence is inescapable unless of course, one chooses to remain deaf, dumb and blind to the level of damage Trump is now creating throughout the system of gov't he and his paranoid micro-managing mind is supposed to be providing stewardship for.

Na let's be humane. We know waterboarding is nothing and Hannity said he'd do it. Let's let Hannity off easy with a day of "not torture" by professionals.

There is another side to this. By Mueller referring this because it felt it fell out of his mandate, does that mean that everything he hasn't referred falls in his mandate? That would spell trouble to Trump in re: to Manafort and everyone else who has already plead.

If anyone else is interested the screen for Huckabee has gone on. Of course it could be a while so I'll just let it play in the background.

"Hi Sarah, by all accounts the raid on Cohen proper legal form, being approved by Republicans, some selected by Trump. Will the President stop making the claims that this is a biased investigation?"

That's a softball question from me.
