Obama is not your friend.... He is off collecting millions of dollars in bribes as we speak. He will have made several hundred million dollars in the next decade.

Bribes for what? His zero political power? Goddamn you are a dupe.

You are the fools claiming that HRC would have defended Net neutrality. That is questionable, at best... How many tens of millions have these corporations given the Clintons thus far?
You really should try to keep up with current events in the real world.

Like I said, Obama isn't your friend. He would have let them do w/e they wanted, if the people hadn't stood up against it.

Obama is as much a corporatist whore as all the others.... His job was to keep the people docile, which means you have to throw them a bone every now and again.

And the T-Rump admin doesn't give a shit that the people are standing up against repealing it. They are going to do it anyway. Obama is gone and under the T-Rump, looks like NN is gone.....no matter what the people want. Obama is gone and HRC lost, get over it. This is on the T-Rump admin, period.

Are you really this naive!? That's how the system works.... You be a little good puppet in office, and then when you get out, you collect your bribes. The speeches, positions, the consultations, etc... That's just washing the bribe money.

You mean like Twitter and Google who are actively campaigning to protect net neutrality?

At least when taj spews bullshit, you know it's coming from a paid Russian troll. I'm afraid you're just a retard.

Twitter the company that bragged about removing half of the tweets that mentioned the DNC leaks?

Or

Google, the one that altered search engine results so that negative information was less likely to appear about HRC?

Yah, these corporations aren't your friends either.

No one can be this stupid.... You have to willingly not see the blatant corruption, because you are a partisan hack that wants to believe Dem = Good Republican = bad.

That's the way a child thinks. Or a senile old fool like Trump, which is basically the same thing.

Being called stupid by a proven retard somehow seems pretty meaningless

My state has an excellent Republican governor by the way, so there goes that theory. Yet another strike out.

Meanwhile, in the actual world where actual events are actually happening, not just the weird fantasies in your head, the Trump administration just rolled out a policy to screw over everybody who failed to bribe them sufficiently.

Can we get back on track here and forget the troll?

The long and short of it is that we could see this coming, and that this was something that was only going to happen under a Republican-led administration and FCC. Pai is pretty obviously in the pocket of major telecoms, and was always going to ignore all public input.

There are lots of protests taking place, but I suspect the only effective solution is for the Democrats to win the 2018 and 2020 elections and bring responsible regulation back to the US.

There is nothing to get back to...

There is nothing you can do by whining on the internet. And hoping that HRC would have save you is absurd.

All you have to back up your assertion that Obama and Hillary would end net neutrality are your feelings. Meanwhile, we have that actual fact that Obama implemented it in the first place. All you have to back up your assertion that Obama only did it because of public outcry are your feelings as well.

Nothing except their asinine corruption.

Obama admitted to being a moderate Republican ffs!

Please do not message me again. This is your one and only warning.

Agreed, the guy is a total one track waste of time. Should not have responded. One more for the ignore list I guess

Anyway, the other thought that's come to my mind is whether there is a way to defeat any ISP tampering with web traffic, for example widespread encryption of all web traffic. I'm no networking expert, but is there any current way to obfuscate the source and content of any web traffic until it gets to its destination? Maybe it could be a blessing in disguise if so -- public key type of transactions for all traffic and devices, immune from outside interference both by the ISP and other actors.

So your entire argument is that it isn't a big deal that Trump is actively fucking us, because in your mind Hillary probably would've done the same?

So, you actually believe that these billionaires and their puppets are your friend? They're looking out for you!?

No, I am pointing out the absurdity of believing that HRC was your ally.

Hillary, Trump, Obama, Bush, they're all about the same policy wise. Moderate to Right wing Republicans.

I know there was talk about a bipartisan congressional solution to this at one point but with Cheeto Von-Tweeto in office, I just don't see him signing it....unless you can convince him that he will be loved for it.

Hell, I can't see CONgress agreeing on anything ever at this point.....
