Dude chill.
Mistake 1: You bought a computer from future shop
Mistake 2: You bought the extended warranty
Mistake 3: You clearly voided the warranty (would you give the same BS excuse to Future Shop if I had authorized you? Bill Gates? George Bush? No. Only future shop can authorize repairs on the warranties they give).
Now, they say that no woman ever asks to be raped, but buddy you better break out the KY, as I gotta say you threw the unlock switch in the rapist wing while wearing a miniskirt.
You can do 2 things: Whine about it, which seems to be the path you've chosen, or you can learn from this and never buy another compaq from future shop again. I'm not trying to be a prick here, just giving it to you straight.
My dad bought a P200 MMX Packard Bell from FS years and years ago (200 MHz was near top of the line back then). Anyways, something went wrong with it a year later and I, not being computer savvy got my mom to bring it in to FS. They had it for 10 days and every time we called they said that they hadn't figured it out yet and that it'd require more testing. We finally got pissed off with them and took it to a little computer shop. The guy had a message on our answering machine before we even made it home. Faulty ram that FS had sold us as an upgrade a month earlier. He pulled the chip, replaced it, and showed us the old one. Part of it had a rather large burn mark on it. It was obvious really (I never pulled the computer apart... I was scared of them back then). We went back to FS to complain, all they gave us was store credit for more of their crappy service work. I only ever buy blank CDs there now.
