Today I received my case (shipped from TN) and a mobo (shipped from CA) that I ordered from gameve.com

Strike two eh? that right there makes it seem like he bought it from gameve...

and where was strike one? Did I miss that part?

I have been buying and ordering and recommending nothing but newegg for years upon years...

I will continue to do so.

Oh, and uh, next time your house burns down or gets flooded, you better show up at work THE NEXT DAY, because

But the delay from their "flood" or whatever was inexcusable in my case

I hope they have their act straightened up soon, because I want to pull the trigger on a 939 rig from them but I'm probably going with Mwave.

Lol stop crying... if you don't like newegg... buy it from buy.com

If you don't like YOUR president... move to France.

go to the library tool. you don't need a xp 2700000000 to write a paper.

Well I would finish writing my paper on this but 3 pages of my almost finished paper are on an sata drive from my "old" computer; and, as you well know, 7 year old computers dont have sata... so f*ckyou. If newegg had a flood why didnt they email me about it? or post it on their site?

Well that may explain some things. I ordered a pair of hard drives from them a few days ago, they have been "being prepared in warehouse" for 2 days now.

Edit: I paid the 2.99 for same day shipping

i ordered a hdd from newegg last week (paid my rush fee) and got it 2 days later from NJ. so i'm guessing it's not a matter of them getting too big to get things out on time. if you really need things quick, pay the 2.99 or whatever. that's the only way my stuff has ever gone out the same day, and if i really need something it's usually worth it.

huh? your old computer is 7 years old, but somehow your paper is on a sata drive, which is from your old computer, which doesn't have sata, which is 7 years old.....

wha?

your post doesn't really make much sense. you say you ordered some stuff from newegg. then got some stuff (a case in both instances) from gameve. and then you said the case had a dent in it. which case? i understand what you meant now that you've so diplomatically explained it, but you could have been a little more clear in your original post.

Yeah, I had the same thing, ordered a case, a PSU, some fans, and cables. They've been being prepared in warehouse for two days as well.

Learn how to use proper punctuation and grammar then.

The line:

Today I received my case (shipped from TN) and a mobo (shipped from CA) that I ordered from gameve.com

makes it sounds like you ordered it from gameve.com, tool.

My "old" computer that I had up until the 1st :

AMD xp2700+
AT7-MAX2 (has sata and its fried)

My 7 year old computer:

500mhz
A generic mobo with only 2 pci slots (no sata)

I hope this clears things up.

I guess its my fault for having too much confidence in neweggs 2day shipping. I would be alot less pissed if they had shipped it and its just not here yet. I asked to 2 day shipping on the 3rd, its now the 10th and they havent even shipped it yet... <---f*ckthat

btw the main reason I'm not making sense right now is because I'm frantic about not having my paper done by tomorrow and I dont know anyone with SATA.

me = fucked

LOL...I was thinking the same thing...uh...how the fvck did you save the paper on the SATA drive that was in your old computer if your old computer doesn't have SATA? Did you teleport the bits with your mind?

Yeah, newegg should put something up about being delayed because of a flood on their website...but this flood has really only slowed them down to 'normal' from 'exceptional" IMO.

if your dumbass is so desperate to finish a paper then drive to compusa/bestbuy and buy a SATA card for the meantime.

Not terribly difficult to complain but obviously impossible to use your brain

you = stupid

Is it possible to go to a Best Buy, etc. to pick up a SATA controller card for the SATA to get your paper? A reasonable cost, should be worth while to get your paper back, if the 7 year old computer has an available PCI slot for the controller card.

Question. What did you do to fry your mobo? Also, shouldn't you have just saved your paper on disk too? Like everyone else is told to do cause BS like that always happens? My PC literally burned to the ground once(hehe, they always did say use a power surge protector...should have listened) and I still turned in my paper on time. SAVE YOUR CRAP TO DISK.

Also, if you knew that you needed a replacement soon and you had a paper to turn it, it would've been wiser to just run to a store and pick up another mobo. That way you wouldn't have to worry about delayed shipping or ne thing. IMO, you just made a lot of bad choices.

Good luck with your paper.

P.S.
The whole time you've been sitting around waiting and bitching about newegg.com, you could've started over and been done by now.

can't we leave politics out of this? i took p&n and ot off my topic list for a reason! and vote kerry (paid for by al qaeda)! errr wait, too late. ah well, back to the thread.

explaining things can help you get your point across sp4m. like a few others said here, try getting a sata card if you're hurting that bad. people here don't really appreciate it when you start a rant thread and then call folks tools and whatever else, so you'll get some hostility.
