Folding@Home Daily Stats and Milestones for Thursday, February 27th, 2003

Team Rank Weekly Statistics...

Our score increased by 2,578.08 units since the last stats period, to a total of 290,698.04 this evening.

As you can see from the chart below (second column), we fell one position (to 20th place) in the last day. Given our current scale of weekly production, we can expect to fall a few more places in the next month. Many of us (myself included) find new assimilations hard to come by, so don't feel guilty if you can't do that. But if you can, I'm sure we as a TeAm would appreciate it. And don't forget that overclocking, disabling extra NT services that you don't ever use, not playing as much UT2003, and checking occasionally to make sure no runaway processes are stealing time from F@H also count as good things to do to increase performance.

Another day with no production from me =( time to check the logs. Whatever happened to those rescue guys? Are they going to come to save us? In other news, what happened to the snail? Thanks for the stats and to all who follow (first) don't be mad at the bearer of bad news.

jliechty, would it help if we specify -advmethods to get the gromacs WUs? I hear they give more points per unit of time.

Incidentally, when I right click the client and do Team Statistics, I see us at rank 22. Why the difference?

The graphical client is probably counting work units without a valid team number and work units done for "team" Google (those using the Google bar for F@H) as two ranks above us; the F@H stats pages and Statsman's lists separate those two out of the rankings.

The -advmethods switch won't do a whole lot of good if you're on a non-SSE enabled Athlon (i.e. anything before Athlon XP). It is most useful for those who have Pentium 4s, however.
