Shortass, If you get to do 100MHz extra on your FSB, I want in on your secret. I have taken mine from 166 to 173 and thought that was decent (considering my antiquated Motherboard, HSF and RAM). I think it's awsome you have been financing your own hardware. My son is your age (will be 18 in Sept.) and he just sighs when I work on his computer (it's the same as mine). so here's a :beer: to you... er..... when you're 21
For any of you who are interested in beginning to learn how to speed up those monsters, use your motherboard manual and get familiar with how to adjust the Front Side Bus (FSB) frequency (sometimes also called the System Clock). Only bump it up 1 or 2 MHz and 9 times out of 10 your system will behave just fine. But remember, it is when you start fooling with those system voltages that you risk damage to your components, so hands-off unless you are familiar with how to monitor critical temperatures, how high is too high, etc....
Now since those in front of me are leaving me in the dust and those behind me won't catch up for a while..... my best challenge to all of you is to learn how to adjust that FSB.... just one (more) MHz
