New users will not appear until they have completed a Work Unit under team 198

Milestones are as follows: 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, from 10,000 to 100,000 will be every 10k, and every 20K after 100,000. After 200,000 milestones will be given at 50k intervals.

I eeked another 1MHz on the FSB and noticed it saves me about a minute on a 600 Point WU step, so that's an hour and a half for the whole WU. So I figure if everyone upped their FSB by 1... we ought to see about 500 PPD extra just from that.....

Insidious, I have yet to OC my new machine (see sig) I may try to OC my P4 1.5 but haven't really looked at the bios for an FIC board yet. Any one know of limitations?

Looks like I'm gonna need to kick my production up a notch, as I don't intend to lose a race to 30k should one happen. Of course, that's assuming kb3edk slows the hell down

Yep, as of a few minutes ago the race to 20k is over. Thanks to you, uppsala, and nate for being such good competitors! I'm going to celebrate with a quick :beer: and get back to folding... for a twist on the next competition, let's race to a ranking... who among us will be the first to crack the top 100 on the TeAm? I'm in 129th now (18th on the TeAm in daily production ) I want to see what uppsala can do once that new laptop arrives.

The lappy should get here today. I went home for lunch hoping to catch the ups man, but he didn't visit during the 30 minutes I was home. Hopefully I can catch him after work. If not, then it looks like I'll have to visit the ups store tomorrow night.

I'm only running one computer right now, but I guess that's to be expected from a 17y/o who buys all of his own hardware. Parents might be buying me a lappy for college though , but until then my production is pretty lame. Still... a race to 100 would be a sweet race indeed.

Oh! and just for fun I OCed 200mhz more and doing some basic math proved that I shaved off an hour's time off of my average WUs (from 30.5 to 29.5). Woot, anything helps... and that wasn't with upping my FSB. I'll be tweaking it to see what works best.

EDIT 2 Got it down to 28 hours flat for my average 347 or whatever WUs. Still trying stuff out... i didn't realize how much FSB affected the crunching speeds.

Only one folder in my herd I will be getting an old Toshiba PII lappy from a family member this weekend though I'm pretty shure it won't win me any races:laugh:

Yeah, you're pretty much the only one between me and 100th I have no chance of catching. As for everyone else below 100, consider yourself challenged!

I guess if we did this like in the SETI forums, Christan Diepold would be the current Top 100 Challenge champ (I remember him announcing his arrival at 100th a few days ago), and Moltres is practically a lock to be next, and then... ?

Hey bigal40 you can still change to the correct name, just reconfigure The WU(s) done under the other name stay there
