Fable 2

So who all here thinks Fable 2 will be good ?

Honestly, when this game is released, it will be the sole reason I pick up a 360 Elite.

I'll get it eventually. Don't know if it'll just be a rental or not though. Right now, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Gears of War 2 are my must haves.

Eventually (when it is released for the PC, do not have a 360 and I do not think that a Microsoft game will come to the PS3) if the reviews / feedback are good. I was not impressed with Fable 1, but it was probably worth the <$20 price that I payed for it. Fable 1 had so many minor / moderate annoyances in it that accumulated into deep flaws.

The amount of bloom in his games gives me a headache. If it weren't for that I probably would get it.

I'll rent it, but that is it. I don't believe anything that comes out of Peter's mouth about a game he is part of. Fable one was entertaining but didn't last more then a few days before I didn't touch it anymore and I rented that one too.

I agree with warcrow. The game looks utterly amazing to me. All the possibilities to do in this game.

It almost just seems endless.

Speaking of that, I am also waiting on Naruto

Because I just recently picked up Fable The Lost Chapters for $20 and I love that game.

The first one was a decent throw-away RPG. I plan to get the 2nd one but I'm definitely not buying the hype on the whole dog bit.

I played Fable: TLC on the PC. I didnt play it on the Xbox (never had one), so there was the widescreen support and some other extras.

One of the things that bothered me with Fable (or at least I wanted changed) was the "on-rails" pathing. I wanted to jump the fences and check things out and explore more.

IIRC (been a while), the PC version allows you to disable the bloom lighting.

LOL. I know exactly what you mean. The game ( The Lost Chapters ) does look pretty good for being released several years ago.
And I thought the same thing, I want to explore more than just staying on predetermined paths. Would be great if it was open like Oblivion

Is Fable 2 suppose to be a *whole world exploration* game ? I hope so.

I would rather have Fable 2 be more like Baldur's Gate, where you have areas that have specific entrances and exits but you can explore a lot more within those areas as opposed to being railroaded for everything. The Witcher would be another example with less railroading even though it is still a pretty linear still.

In fact, Fable 2 should just mimic the Witcher. Throw some nudity into the whole wife thing.

I think it looks awsome, I'll be getting it the first day. I just need to find out where the list is of places you can pre-order from in order to get the mini-games for free. I read that the minigames which will cost 800 MS Points will be free withe the pre-order from particular places, but I don't know what places those are.
