Fable for Xbox out today!

Fable for Xbox should be out today in most areas.
who else is buying into the hype monster on this oen and giving it a shot?
Game looks pretty darn cool to me..

I think that Fry's (If you have one in your area) has it cheap on Thursday. The ad for Seattle says $36.99. For this price, I can wait till Thursday.

I was excited about Project Ego/Fable way back when it was announced. But then, features kept being removed in order to make the game ship before XBOX 2 came out, and I eventually lost interest. After reading some of the major reviewers opinions, I think I'll pass. It seems as if the game is a little different than originally envisioned.

This may be a stupid question, but is the game in 1st person(like Morrowind) or 3rd person(Like Baldur's Gate)?

The initial rumble from some of the peeps who got the game today is not good. They're saying that the GFX are absolutely annoying the crap out of them. There seems to be a "blurred" effect going on, and I guess that working with a TV screen (IE: low resolution) isnt working out too well for them. They're syaing that the GFX are much more suited for the PC (IE: high resolution).

I dont even know if this is coming out for the PC. I dont have an Xbox, so I cannot give my own personal opinion of the game. Keep in mind these are just initial impressions by some friends. Oh, and also...they all said that the actual gameplay is good though. I guess most of them are still in "training", and they've been playing for 4 hours. lol

I've got it preordered at blockbuster with a cool coupon, so when they get it in, I'll be picking it up. I've gotta stop by best buy tonight to get a nice audio cable for my xbox and hook it into 5.1 setup... I'll do that before I play any games in my new house

the grafics were less than overwhelming... in fact my inital impression was these grafics are total crap...

but i played it for about 3 hours last night and the game seems ok...

not sure if its 54 bucks worth of Ok.. but well see Ill give it a shot..

Like blurredvision said, this game ended up being a mere shell of what was promised way back when. Last year at this time when everyone was excited that it was so close to release, I actually got excited too after reading about all the neat features in the game.
After reading the reviews, it doesn't sound like the "revolution in RPGs" that Molyneux was talking this game up as.
It's still supposed to be really great for what it is though, a Zelda competitor with more RPG elements.
I'm going to rent it this weekend and blow through it just to say I played it. But I won't linger with it, especially when people are beating it in less than 15-20 hours. :Q

In fact, don't buy into the reviews of the HYPE
Also, don't listen to all these websites. Most of the time they ruin the experience.

I've been playing the game since last night. It's not bad, it's fun. Of course, I just got done playing World of Warcraft so nothing right now compare to that and nothing seems as fun as WOW. Maybe if I didn't play WOW, fable would be an awesom game, but I think it's pretty good..not awesome to the point of addiction, but good enough to play when you have time.

I absolutley love it... Im still in training though so the "full experience" has yet to be felt. I hate the fact that people get hung up on the gfx and such... while not mind blowing they are perfectly fine and get the job done more than adequetly.

The best part of the game is the atmosphere and "feeling" of it... its perfect IMO... I didn't buy into the hype of the game, as I just recently heard about it so I have no idea what the original plans were and what was omitted.

It seems everytime people follow a title from begining to end they are disappointed with the final project. I can't think of 1 game that has been released with even 80% of its originally planned features.... well Maybe Daikatana
