That is fucking badass. I didn't even notice that china was gone until I read one of the posts. That is pretty fuckin scary that 1 billion people just dropped off the map.
I see that people are wondering why e.g. Brazil, Russia, and China are dark - Brazilians use Google's Orkut, Russians use VKontakte, Chines use QQ, Saudis use Maktoob, etc. In the latter two cases government blocking probably has a lot to do with it, but in Russia and Brazil's case other networks just plain managed to catch on first - people go where their friends are.

I think that's correct. Looks like a normal pop map of Australia and NZ to me, but the Aussies can confirm.Aren't there like, very few people, in the heart of that piece of land?
I thought all of the people in Australia (besides the tribal folk) lived close to the coastlines, and that the interior of the continent is mostly desert.
