The "little guy" has always been the backbone of Anandtech's DC team no matter what the project.Which is one of the things I like best about Anandtech.

To be honest, I was wondering what idiot put the team number as their nick as well. Low and behold that idiot was me. A friend of mine thought FaD was cool and said he would run it on his computer, so my production might possibly double!

Great news Getting friends to crunch with us is one reason we formed the Rebel Alliance

Rebel Alliance is a mini team start by Todd (ICXRa) and myself as a member of the seti team
One of the reasons for the Rebel Alliance was to help get our friends and coworkers crunching with us for Anandtech. At our peak we could do 6 to 7 hundred work units a day in seti.
While still crunching Seti we moved to other projects like Folding@ Home Todd's main project these days Mofunk crunchs folding with us also we are in the top 20 in daily out on the TeAm
My main project is FaD these days where I am joined by RA members Doc Brown and Wolfsraider
We have crunched TSC with friend Geoff where we are still in the top 100 last time I checked althought we haven't crunched it in a litle while now
We have also crunched D2Ol both as the RA ( Still in the top 100 in that project also) and with Geoff ( Who was ranked #1 for quite a while)
We have also done lifemapper and dpad ( Wolfsraider and myself)
A little Df ( Myself)
and are still doing a little seti where we are ranked 209 in the world and falling.
RA members are
Todd
Mike ( Wolfsraider)
Mark ( Doc Brown)
Mofunk
Geoff
and myself
I also have a few friends doing a little crunching who don't come to anandtech.
Anyway that's about all there is to know about us
Anyway that

We always have fun here. We may not be the biggest but we do have the most fun and without berating our fellow teammates unlike some folks I know.

Hey! Wait! I want to berate someone!

Thats interesting how you guys have your own teams inside the forum, I suggested something like that myself at TIMO. My machines would not be split into different projects though, all new ones comming on line go to FAD. I waiting to see how cpu ratings settle down to make another decision. I have 2 machines still at XPC and one will remain there. 2 more on line tomorow. And a surprise yet to come

Welcom JTWill,

I too, have a negative history with TIMO. Scott Wainer is some piece of work.

I've found the company here very friendly ... if a bit less chatty than TIMO (in it's heyday) or XPC.

I really enjoy the lack of folks like TwinkleToes on this forum and have found a whole lot of support for my somewhat radical ideas as far as FaD is concerned.

As always, I do what I can with what I have ... Keep 'em crunchin'

Well what can I say we're a little different here at Anandtech. All the projects share the same forum which allows for more interaction between the projects. Most of us feel that its all for the good of the team no matter which project you crunch it still for the TeAm.

bty I forgot the Doc also has one machine on E@H
