yep, and amazingly people still manage to fail that. i made it on my first try tho.

I failed my test the first time I took it too. Ruined my 16th birthday. Barely passed the second time I took it. But here I am today, a skillful and experienced driver.

I failed my learner's permit test twice before finally passing it a third time. People had said it's so much easier to take the written test (I found the opposite) than the video. I believed them because on a written test, there is no pressure you can agonize over all the questions at once and take your sweet time thinking but like the idiot I am I failed it TWICE!

So the third time I took the kiosk video and passed.

Passed the driving test on my first try, score was 95% out of 100%, forgot where I screwed up and don't really care. Everything I learned, I forgot.

The driving test here is ridiculously easy. I had to go to drivers ed beforehand, and the instructor said the guys here take off points if you don't specifically draw out and prolong your left/right looks when doing turns/3pt turns. ie, stick your head past your steering wheel.

needless to say, i missed 2 pts because i "didn't look enough" doing 3pt turns. max 100, i don't know how many pts you can miss to pass tho.

Written test i missed two (can miss max 3).. one because i assumed the used of ABS brakes.. in which you don't pump to stop.. blah, they shoulda specified.

Here is some tips:

Choose a time when there is the least amount of traffic...if possible.

and

Pratice with someone who is makes you very nervous...then the test will be beyond easy. I felt no pressure on my test after driving with my mom.

Good luck with the driving test in NYC. I had the horror of wasting my time taking it in NYC twice in Red Hook, Brooklyn. NYC literally has some of the biggest jerkoffs working at the DMV. The second time I took it, I literally knew I wasn't going to pass the moment the guy stepped inside the car with the jerk attitude. It probably wasn't five minutes and I could feel the test being over, especially when he made me stop so he can talk to a few of his buddies in the middle of my driving test. At the point I was like I screw it since I knew it was over, so I floored it, made a hard left and a hard brake. The DMV guy got out of the car all pissed off, but I sure felt a whole lot better even though I just failed it.

Anyway, six months later, I smartened up and took it in Buffalo when I was still in school and I passed it without having to deal with any of the attitude.

I was so nervous I forgot how to turn my brights on. I then ran over a huge 10 foot tall cone/flag thingy but just a little and backed up so it flipped back up. The guy was turned around getting money or something from my mom so he didin't notice. I passed the first time but got a couple points off perfect

I got an 84% on my test. I only did two things wrong. I didn't go far enough to the right when I was making a right hand turn and I didn't completely stop when backing around a corner. He gave me zeros on both of them. I guess the backing around a corner must have been worth a buttload.

I failed my first time too, I was driving our family full sized van .... with curtains over the windows. I couldn't see a thing. Anyway, earlier that day they had moved the cones for the motorcylce test track and forgot to move the back cone. I nudged the front cone and she said I failed instantly... afterwards, I went back and parked next to the cones, I had 13" TOTAL extra space. There is no one in the world who could park a full sized van with 13" of extra space in te front and back combined!

Next time I made sure the cones were properly placed and passed without a hitch.

in vt your are allowed to get 21 points off to fail... i got 20...just barely passing... i hadnt driven in months an the car was my mom's which i wasnt too formelor with. I went to put the e-brake on and didnt push it all the way to the floor and the car rolled back in the parking lot... that cost me 8 points.. so if you throw out that i didnt do too bad. but hey i passed.. thats all that matters

when i took my passed i did everything fine.. turns were a tad wide but she told me and i corrected it.. no problem.. forgot to put on blinker when i parked but otherwise was fine..

what really messed me up is the 3 people before me that failed their driving test.. it was PATHETIC. SO many bad drivers here in florida its amazing.

I failed my first time also. The grader said I made my turns too slowly and switched lanes too quickly. My parallel parking sucked also because when I parked my wheels were right up against the curb. The second time I passed it even though the guy wanted to fail me. I knew he wanted to fail me when he made up his own driving rules. He said at a stop sign I need to come to a complete stop and wait 2 seconds before going on. I went home and checked and found no such rule. My parallel parking was better. He made me park between 2 cars and as I was pulling out I saw him nodding his head. Better recognize!
