Lowering the CPU freq to 375 (3000MHz) and all other settings the same (including memory) I am currently running the blended Orthos test at 1 hour 20 mintes. What does that mean??? Not that I need 3.2 GHz, but now it has become personal between the computer and me The sad thing is that the computer is winning!

Ugh....THis is killing me....Again, This is the best set up I have had so far. I have tried all the suggestions, but no luck. To be honest, all the different settings are starting to blend together. I am just wondering what I really need to concentrate on? FSB? Memeory Voltage? V core???? ect. I installed the latest bios(706) and ran the blended test (default setting) and I t ran for about 5 hours (I shut her down).

RUn SmallFFT for 12hours and if it doesn't crash you know your CPU is good. Then run memtest to check memory.

Although that method is quite nice, memory behaves differently under DOS than under Windows, I can tell you. I can have my memory running error free under Memtest all night at high freqs with my Cpu 100% stable, and boot into Windows and fail to pass succesfully Orthos or Prime or SuperpI 32M....
Memtest is not enough for Ram memory testing...that's all I want to point out.

Yeah!!!!!! I finally got Orthos to run the blended test for 13 hours (shut if off on my way to work), after dozens and dozens and dozens of settings, and some great help from users of this forum. To be honest, I dont even know the exact settings I have loaded, but they are very similar to the settings n7 gave on another thread Here I also made some hardware changes. The main one being that I replaced my Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 for Team Group TXDD2048M800HC4DC 4-4-4-10. I also replased my Freezor pro for a Zalman 9500. When I get home I will update all my settings and temps for anyone that might have had the same problems as me!

I found that setting the FSB to 401, not 400, helped for some reason (different memory strap apparently). Otherwise, I followed n7's suggestions and they did work. 3.2ghz stable for 24+ hours Orthos blend. Good enough for me.

So here are my settings:

JUMPER FREE - AI Tuning(Manual)**CPU Freq(401)**DRAM Freq.(802MHz)**PCI Express(100)**PCI Clock Synch(33.3)**Spread Spectrum(Disabled)** Memory Voltage(2.10)**CPU VOltage(1.41250)**FSB Term. Voltage(1.3)**NB(1.45)**SB(1.500)**ICH Chipset(1.2150)

CPU config - Ratio CMOS Setting(8)** C1E Support(Disable)**Max CPUID Value Limit(Disable)**Vanderpool Tech(Enable)**CPU TM Function(DIsable)**Execute Disable Bit(Disable? I think)

Chipset - 4*4*4*10*6*42*10*10*10*10*Static Control(Disable)

Core temp shows approx 50c to 51c, while Asus Suite is around 42c to 43c with the Mobo at 33c Idle as I write this. Running Orthos blended it was up to 59c to 64c with Core Temp. I just installed the Zalman 9500 a few days ago (using the line down the middle method), so I assume it will go down a few degrees?? But do you think these temps are ok? Well the idle ones, since I am not going to "stress" the rig often, or should I relax some of the settings? Oh, and I did see improvement from my AC Freezer Pro 7 and the 9500.

Also, From my previous post, I also swaped out my Seasonic S12 430 PSU with the new M12 500 Modular PSU, but I really think the main issue was my memory, even befor I got the formula right, the Team sticks lasted longer then the Corsair.

Thanks,

Rappy

Not sure actually.
Can't seem to find any info on it on forums or google either.
All i know is it's generally recommended to disable it when OCing.

Oh, & good to see you got things running well rappy.

I really believe that buying Corsair's cheaper RAM is a big mistake right now, as it seems so many people have issues with it.

Thanks n7! I am pretty sure the main issue was the memory. Once I installed the Team group memory, it wasnt long before I got it Orthos stable! Do you think my temps are ok?
