"fake" things in movies that piss you off.

when people raise their guns to fire, and the cocking sound is applied, like the gun magically cocks itself when you raise the barrel.

The single most annoying thing to me is the "clicking" noise made when someone holds up a gun. Scenes where someone is suddenly surrounded by multiple people pulling guns on them, and you hear a chorus of clicking sounds as they all point their guns at once...those scenes make me want to punch my TV.

Yes, guns make clicking sounds, but only when you engage the slide (a two hand process), or draw the hammer back. But no one is ever doing that when those sound effects are being used.

I've even seen movies where the shooter draws his gun, the clicking sound is made, then the shooter slowly lowers his gun during the scene only to suddenly point it at the same person again and have the clicking sound. GRRRRRR

I get that it's for effect, but damn, it drives me nuts.

All those Crime Scene shows drive me nuts, when in fact the truth is stranger than fiction. The worst is trying to watch CSI miami, and the dork David Caruso is a CSI cop..wait what? The CSI lab gets their own cops? No there is a police department and there is a crime lab, but there are no dedicated cops for the crime lab.

Also the Goth Chick on NCIS who is an expert chemist, biologist and computer tech is a one person tech lab, yeah right.

I could go on and on but instead I will stick with the ID channel and their real stories.

No one ever misspeaks, flubs their words or gets interrupted. Ever. Unless it's in a fashion so proper it had to have been intentional. (if someone ever misspoke to me in a movie, I would seriously be on guard. They did that shit on purpose and are just trying to manipulate you)

Shooting someone on the first floor of a house from up top on a flight of stairs sends them flying in a direction completely different from the line of the bullet.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but what used to get to me was like on westerns where the bad guys were some old decrepit looking outlaws that have been in the desert for years, yet when they smile they would have perfect looking just brushed shiney white teeth...and a full set.

Drawn out scenes that don't advance the story serve no purpose, even if they are more reflective of real life. Real life is frequently boring; tell me you wouldn't skip that drive across town if you could "movie drive" it and be there in 4 seconds via jump cut.

Every day, there are at least 3 nervous breakdowns on the Enterprise, when the incessant beeping makes someone snap.

- When the heroes have to quickly cobble together some manner of half-assed device to get a job done, they often have time to add in little indicator lights, error reporting capabilities, and something to make all the buttons beep.

Also in football movies the kids are never sweating. When you warm up before the game you should have a good sweat going and helmet hair. But you always see the kids fresh with perfect hair and not a single stain on their uniform.

Even worse if you see them clean after the game is over.
