Is this show any good? I watched the first few episodes and quit after the one where a small group of the survivors was kidnapped by a group of bandits. A tired plot that's been done a million times before. That episode just reinforced my preconceived notions that the show was going to be entirely derivative. I'd love for that not to be the case, though.

Everyone's going to be different but I love it.

Iy is somewhat action light given its budget constraints, but not bad story telling and a pretty decent scifi drama without going soap opera.

They should have made The Librarian into a series. He was suited for that. Falling Skies not so much.

What Falling Skies needs is Richard Dean Anderson.

I wait for it on Amazon prime so I have to quite a wait left. It's OK since I didn't see season 2 all too long ago and right now I'm going through SG:A.

Didnt read this thread for fear of spoilers but I watched the first season when it was on and missed the second last year. I finished a recap of season 1 and started season 2 on amazon prime this morning. I should be finished up and ready for season 3 as it airs, looking forward to it.

Falling Skies is so-so but it still makes Revolution look like a steaming pile of sh*t on a warm summer's day. I don't think any show in the history of TV had me so excited and then so disgusted as much as Revolution.

Besides, the season 2 finale opened the door to a very interesting season 3. It should only get better from here.

i watched all of season 1... it was extremely painful. i love sci-fi but what ever happened to actual plot advancement? did the 2nd season change things for the better as compared to season 1? ...worth watching?

watched the first 10 min of season 2 and it looked like they decided to make up for the lack of a decent script by filling in with captain commando resistance fighting, got bored... shut it off.

This show is okay but there is a serious lack of quality sci fi now that fringe, star trek, bsg, and stargate are done. These new shows just feel very generic and don't really draw you in..sigh. I think 2014 is going to be a very boring year as far as sci fi tv shows is concerned.

Knowing the slow pace of the show we might not find out anything about them or even see them for first 3-4 episodes.
