Eh, what?
Fallout gets aliens now? I enjoyed the base Fallout 3, but haven't all the DLCs been released in horribly broken states?

Yea I didn't know that Fallout 3 had aliens either. I guess I missed the crash site playing the game. I just learned there was a crash site a couple days ago. I think it's stupid to have this little alien thing anways. They should have kept the DLC more in line with the storyline.

And as far as I remember some of the AIs in the Fallout universe were created with help of alien technology from the crashed ship the US found. I think it was that BoS AI in the San Francisco bunker in Fallout 2. Don't remember if the AI from Sierra Army Depot in Fallout 2 was one of them too. The ST shuttle in F2 was an easter egg
Personally, can't wait for this one. Point Lookout, even though was polished and had hardly any bugs, was "too primitive" for my taste. I mean... I'm in a Power Armor wielding either a Plasma Rifle or a Gauss Rifle and I am up against folks with shotguns, repeater rifles, shovels and axes... Microwave Emitter was such a let down for me (was so looking for it - I thought it would be like those "electric guns", Pulse Rifle/Pistol I think, at the end of Fallout 2).
Looking at the few screenshots for Mothership Zeta there will be so many new things in it, I can't wait!

So I'm thinking that's either gonna be Lincoln or Elvis or both.?Ally yourself with an unexpected array of characters, both from the Capital Wasteland and from Earth ?s past.

Are Aliens more stupid than super mutants or Harold. .

Yeah, the trailer was cool, but after 4 other (IMO) lackluster DLC's I wasn't expecting much. This makes me a little sad.

I'm about half way through. Not sure if I'll finish it, so here is my half-assed review:
Likes:
First part of the DLC is well done.
Voice recordings are somewhat interesting.
Aliens give a satisfying pus filled explosion when they die.
New loot.
Dislikes:
So far it is indeed a linear experience - corridor after corridor with the occasional medium sized room (basically follows a pattern).
DLC consists of shooting the same few aliens/robots again and again. Suppose this is to be expected.
Traversing the ship becomes boring quickly.
Worth $10? Not in my opinion. I suppose the console people would get more enjoyment out of it since they cannot partake in the blissful experience that is modded Fallout 3.

I found this DLC to be one of my favorites - yeah - there's a lot of repetitive alien killing [as expected] - but it's pretty cool to see just what they've "collected" (alien abductions and recorded notes) the more you explore the ship. And you can release "friends" to help you battle the annoying little buggers.
Oh..and the double barrel shotgun to the head is a huge plus in close quarter combat
Suggestion for this DLC - quick save often as I encountered a few scripting issues with a certain helpful npc.
