Those are quite beefy.
I still think my 760 will handle it, even at 1440p. I honestly haven't seen anything in the videos that would make me think otherwise.
8 GB Minimum RAM are we serious?
Shame, coz some people wont be able to upgrade there ram unless they upgrade there Motherboard!
It'll definitely handle it, but it all depends on your desired frame rate and detail settings. No idea what the recommended specs are supposed to give you in terms of that.
I doubt there are very many, if any, motherboards that support the required CPUs and do not support 8GB of RAM.
Wrong.ANY DDR3 board will take a single 8GB stick, let alone a pair.
My own motherboard only takes up to 4GB sticks.Gonna have to give a counter-example, then.
My own motherboard only takes up to 4GB sticks.
Ah, wrong again. I'm an i7 user.I knew I should've said *almost* every. There are a few exceptions - like some of the very first generations of DDR3 boards still in the C2Q 775 days. (Meaning it's time for an upgrade anyway!)
If you have a Nehalem i7, that means you have at least three RAM slots, so even if you can't take 8GB sticks, the board still supports more than 8GB of RAM.Ah, wrong again. I'm an i7 user.
Of course, my CPU is a first gen i7. I suspect I will be awfully tempted to do a new build next year when Pascal is finally released.
Indeed. Mine supports 24 (6x4). That wasn't what I was talking about, however. If you have a Nehalem i7, that means you have at least three RAM slots, so even if you can't take 8GB sticks, the board still supports more than 8GB of RAM.
Blue_Max's statement about any DDR3 bored taking 8GB sticks may be wrong, but mine about them all supporting at least 8GB of RAM was accurate.
wait, so this game can utilize more than 2 cores?
