Maybe give a whole floor to my power armor.
:awe:
LOL!
I have 14 power armours, 11 are stacked up on the roof of Red Rocket. I need to get rid of them somehow.
Maybe give a whole floor to my power armor.

Hmm, this is disappointing.
The Jamaica Plains settlement turned out to be much smaller than I thought. Was hoping to make it my new home base.
Looks like I will just go ahead and start building at the drive in theater instead. Its a good spot. Loads of open ground. I plan to make an apartment complex there. Maybe give a whole floor to my power armor.

I keep trying to take on raider and super mutant camps without power armor... so much food consumed to get through!
No excuse... I've found dozens of power thingies for the suit... just keep forgetting to run back home to get it!
BTW, dont forget to find the Cheers easter egg!
I haven't made it that far south yet. I actually live near there - West Roxbury - so I've been wondering what my neighborhood will look like. The Jamaica Plains settlement turned out to be much smaller than I thought.
Awesome! Had to have one so I followed your link and picked up eight tees at $6 each. That's an incredible deal.I got my T-Shirt today; Best of both worlds

Incredibly good. In 76 hours I have had exactly one CTD. My most common bugs have been my weapon disappearing, so that I can't tell if it's drawn without firing, and losing the ability to open the trade dialog with Nick. Also had one amusing bug where the BoS paladin is about to lead me on a mission and after finishing his monologue, his head disappears several seconds before he dons his helmet. And at one point, Nick utterly disappeared and exiting the game did not fix it. It took recruiting Dogmeat and sending Nick to Sanctuary, at which point I could hear but not see him. After that I shut down all fallout and Steam executables, then restarted both and I could once again see and re-recruit him. I'm attempting to finish Nick's quest before returning to the BoS quest since I'm assuming I won't be allowed a companion or quest freedom for that story arc.Pretty small patch, actually. I'd say it's been a good launch for the team so far.
Well . . . These ARE the same devs who believe a gun is most deadly when used as a club. Against that, a short-barreled pistol-gripped rifle versus a long-barreled full-stocked pistol firing the same round kinda makes sense. That's because you aren't changing their type from pistol to rifle. I know that laser weapons and pipe guns can change from pistol to rifle just with the stock; I'm not sure if it works that way with other weapons because I haven't tested it. Specifically, I'm not sure if the pistol-grip double barreled shotgun counts as a pistol or not. I know the full stock version counts as a rifle for perks.
Not sure if it's a bug but areas I've cleared are resetting and even more bizarrely, so are bodies I've killed and looted. Thus Wolfgang and sidekick are down to their underwear and sans heads, but their bodies still have their original equipment after three days goes by.Depends how much you explore and look for safes and locked areas, if you just blow through the game blowing heads up and generally not exploring much or very carefully then they wont be as much use. I level these 2 things up first above anything but I also scour the "dungeons" and general landscape for all the hidden goodies, sometimes they're hard to spot under beds and behind cabinets and things, but you can get some really nice loot especially good for guns with rare ammo and rare components.
Good to get early so that you don't have to revisit cleared dungeons to get loot you missed first time.
lol Yeah, me too. I can't tell for sure if someone is a bad guy and often they'll let you walk right up in power armor before turning hostile.Maybe when you're low level and haven't explored much yet. I am a hoarder and have looted every dungeon north of the river from the west to the sea. Sold most of my loot for more ammo. All my guns use different ammo types, and I haven't used an energy weapon for something like over a dozen levels so have accumulated a lot.
On another note, I miss karma.
And what are these 7 murders I have under my stats? I'm almost sure I haven't murdered any innocents yet. I've even stupidly walked up to Raiders just to be sure they were hostile and let them shoot first.
That's something I've not been able to accomplish via joystick button, so I've got to load a mod that removes that awful swaying. My video game character should not be worse at holding on a target than am I.Sniping with the bolt actions actually feels pretty good. Just be sure to steady yourself first. Its not uncommon for me to take out like 4 super mutants in 10 sec all with headshots.
Fallout was a step forward, a step towards a new direction. Fallout 3 was a step backward, a step in the direction of what Fallout tried to avoid. The first elder scrolls came out in 94 and Fallout 1 came out in 97. Yes, Fallout was a spiritual successor of Wastelend, from 87, but Arena was the spiritual successor of Wizardry! And that came out in 1981!
Perhaps for better relevancy you should remove "about" from that sentence. What are you on about?
Not necessarily, but the preponderance of shooters even among RPGs shows that most gamers find games like Fallout 4 superior to games like Fallout 1. Certainly both styles have their adherents and their current examples, but the market finds the Fallout 4 style to be more popular.I kinda get what he's saying.
I prefer Fallout 1 and Baldurs Gate 2 and games that prioritized substance over form.
Having said that, Fallout 3 actually was enjoyable, even if it deviated from the previous titles. New Vegas was even more fun.
Fallout 4 seems to be missing something special, and its not as good an overall experience. I enjoyed it, but I wont be going back for multiple replays.
Just because something is newer does not mean its better.
Anyone know the best location to try and find a combat shotgun? Gf and I switch playing and while I'm a few levels higher and have had one for awhile, she is still stuck with the double-barrel. I can't remember where I found mine now. We've check the skylanes flight and around College square, so at this point I'm thinking just random luck.
I played about 6 hours over the weekend (was moving to a new place so I was busy) but I swear I found and sold/scrapped 3 or 4 combat shotguns. I'm at level 29.

yes i have perks in gunslinger but not rifleman, but i don't notice this drastic change on other weapons I mod.
Don't think its a spoiler butThe way the main quest plays out is kinda weird. Am I supposed to pick a faction before I finish the main quest? I thought it would be like Skyrim where you have the main quest then after you finish you can do the mage/thieves/dark brotherhood stuff separately. I'm at some mission for the institute that says doing it will make me an enemy of the BoS, but I haven't even done anything for BoS yet.
Protip: whenever you get out of power armor take your fusion core out!! I had a courser companion for one of the institute missions hop in and steal full T60d armor and now i can't get it back ever.
Has anyone done the Battle for Bunker Hill? I think mine bugged out.
When I got to the location there was a huge battle - BoS vs Institute vs Railroad. Everyone ignored me and I just walked right through except for killing a few turrets. Then I find the 4 synths at the end and the game tells me to 'take care of them' which I have no idea what that means so I kill them all. Then my institute companion turns on me and and I kill him. But somehow I'm still in the institute's good grades. wtf
