Get another cat?

Are you an idiot? You can't just replace it.

Sure you can... linky

A cat is more than just an object. If your child ran away, would you say "Get another one."

Sure I would... Linky

Do you specialize in being a dumbass, or does it come naturally? The joke wasn't funny the first time and it sure as fvck isn't funny now.

We had a stray we named Ben who was with us for four days when he went missing. He seemed ill, so I was worried and looked everywhere for him.

Found him in the bottom of my closet. Turns out it was a girl and she was going into labor and came here for refuge. She had five gorgeous little babies.

I am glad you found your cat.

btw, you want another one?

I had a close call with my cat once also but once I realized that my cat won't run away. I installed a cat door and he loves the freedom of being able to roam around outside.

I bet that was a relief. I know it was for me earlier this year when a similar thing happened.
My GF was out of town visiting relatives over a weekened and was driving back (8 hour drive) on a Monday (she would have flown but her grandmother had suddenly taken seriously ill and late notice ticket prices were outrageous -- her grandma is better now). It was during a hot part of summer so I had left some windows open during the night. I wake up Monday morning to go to work and find one the window screens partially popped out. We have 2 cats -- 1 mine, 1 hers. I put the window screen back in place and find my cat, but I couldn't find hers. Now she's had this cat for more than 9 years and loves it more than she loves me (we've been together just under 6 years). It's also an indoor-only cat so naturally I'm sweating that the cat may have gotten out.
I searched for 4 freakin' hours. Inside, outside, walked around the block, asked neighbors, everything. Called work and let them know I might not make it in, the whole thing.
Finally, I found the cat hidden in this little tiny space deep in a closet under the stairs that lead to the attic. I couldn't even figure out how the cat got there the space was so small...
