Family Guy tonight was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!

The vaudiville guys showed up for 2 seconds, but much like with Jar-Jar Binks in Episode 2, it still was a horrible, horrible thing. The only time I ever liked them was in the episode where the covered Lois' ears while they talked about some lawyer chick Peter kept checking out, but the portions of that same episode where they sang, both before and after the bit I just mentioned, was still very, very painful.

The chicken fight from on of the early seasons was rehashed. They old school bicyclists, greased up deaf guy, the old pedophile, I could go on.

Don't get me wrong... I love the original episodes, but the new ones are not as good as the old ones and they are getter worse and worse. Again... I could go on..

Another reused joke format... not the actual wording or content, but spirit is the "Like the time I was..." in the old seasons, it was used sparingly. Now that type of joke is peppered throughout the episodes.

Bottom line, the writers haven't been able to capture or reproduce the same type of quality of humor that the first three seasons had. Now that is up for debate... but that is how I see it.

I think your expectations are a bit too high. It is next to impossible for any show, whether it be animated or not, to keep the same level of quality over multiple seasons. I prefer to have slightly-less-funny Family Guy over no family guy at all.

I think your expectations are a bit too high. It is next to impossible for any show, whether it be animated or not, to keep the same level of quality over multiple seasons. I prefer to have slightly-less-funny Family Guy over no family guy at all.

But it's not cool to like the show anymore since it's no longer cancelled. I can't wait to see Futurama come back and see all of the "FUTURAMA R00LZ!" guys talk about how crappy it is.

What people don't understand is exactly what you just said.. I prefer to have a slightly-less-funny Family Guy over no Family Guy at all. No show can stay as fresh as it was when it first aired. But people would rather complain and watch their Season 5 Simpsons DVDs over and over.

Some people just need to get over themselves and learn to enjoy things like new Family Guy episodes instead of looking for reasons to tear them apart.

It was a bad episode. I didn't laugh once, and i was thinking "man...that was lame" at most of their attempts at comedy. Most of their comedy stuff doesn't make sense anymore.

When wasn't the Family Guy horrible? It's drab parodies and annoying formulaic approach is embarrassing. Fox should have put more effort in creating a show rather than creating the Simpsons 2.0. Instead of milking the same cow they cloned it.

just because it has funny parts doesn't mean its a good episode. i mean look at napolean dynamite. that movie sucked balls but it still had some funny moments.

it's just that the stupid/unfunny/bad parts greatly outweighed the funny ones, thus making it a bad episode IMO.
