Cash. Really. Besides that I can't think of anything.

I don't want anything. I have a good job, the wife has a good job. There isn't really anything under say $10k that I want and don't have. Not horn tooting here, just the reality. I don't see the need for mom/dad/brother/sister/aunt/uncle to blow $100 on me and the wife for something completely silly.

Now, before I get flamed for being a pompous ass, I understand that people give gifts out of love and that it could be taken as selfish deny people the joy of giving a gift. So, I tell people now to get me a restaurant gift card, or a nice bottle of scotch or something like that. They get to give their gift and I don't end up with something useless.

What I mean is that giving cash is boring and meaningless. The process of gift-giving should include the feeling of anticipation and excitement that comes with not knowing what you'll get.

Now, you might say: "Arcadio, if you tell people what to give you, then there is no anticipation or excitement because you know what you'll get." This is not completely true, since I will ask for several different gifts, and I will receive only a few of the things I asked for. The problem I'm facing is that I am out of ideas on what to ask for. I know I could use new gadgets and other random objects, but my mind is blank right now.

Someone mentioned a flash drive. That's a good suggestion. I could use another flash drive. I didn't think of that before.

I asked from my 2 brothers and mother, a nice computer chair (100-150, should be doable) because I spend so much time at my desk and my current one is about 10 years old and was only like a $25 office depot one to begin with

Well, you mentioned technology - are you looking to upgrade your keyboard or mouse? Webcam?

Otherwise just ask for a gift card to a restaurant you like, or a particular type of booze you like (wine/scotch/whatever).

Movies and Music are always good, and I know you have good taste in Music, and you've got the Eraserhead guy as your avatar, so maybe you've got good taste in movies too ....

That said, my family sucks at picking out movies and music, so you may not have any luck with that ....

Always nice to have a decent backup mouse if you don't have one already, also, IBM Model M keyboards make Excellent gifts!

Maybe ask for netflix sub or something?

Sounds like you have everything you need, so how about asking them to make a donation to a worthy charity on your behalf. I hear the Human Fund does good work.
