how does this ksc35 compare with ksc50, ksc55?

ksc50 and ksc55 suck a lot more compared to the ksc35, because of their heavy design, and weaker drivers.

anyone wanna pick some up for me?

Actually, the KSC50 and KSC55 use the same exact drivers as the KSC35. The difference is in the housing.

sorry about that mistake, you are definately correct. yes, they are using the same drivers, as are the portapros and sportapros as far as i know. however, the housing is what makes them sound different.

as for $30 for headphones. if you heard them, you'll know why. its definately easily worth a LOT more ie (hundreds to thousands of $$$) for headphones. if you have the money, because the sound difference is just so large. if you guys are using stock headphones, do yourself a favor and pick these babies up

I picked these up and even bought the 10' foot extension cord for $4.99 for the times the wife wants to sleep and I want to watch my DVD-R backups ;-) Free shipping is cool!

That's why I would get these -- to watch DVDs, TV while the wife sleeps. Seems like a wireless headphone might work better for this role, albeit with considerably less sound quality. Anyone recommend any good wireless headphones?

The KSC-35s are simply the best headphones I've ever used, both in terms of comfort and sound quality. It's hard to believe how awesome they sound when paired with my SlimX. And I love the clip-ons because it allows me to rest my head against something without bumping the headphones like those Sony street-style ones.

You simply can't find a better pair of headphones for the price. I've been looking for another pair since I bought one last summer, but couldn't find them since they've been discontinued. (And the guy I bought them from originally was out of stock too.) BIG THANKS to icesnowriver for the heads-up on this!

i'm using onboard sound on my mobo to connect my pc speakers and headphones to.. i use a dual jack adapter to connect both to the audio-out jack on the onboard sound... problem is that the headphones end up being on all the time, like when i'm using my pc speakers. is there anything i can use that will let me cut the signal from the headphones when i want listen using the pc speakers?
i know the TBSC has a versajack, so you can use it as a headphone jack and the regular audio-out jack for pc speakers but i don't want to buy a soundcard just to be able to get my headphones to be on only when i'm actually using them... don't want to have to plug and unplug the headphones mainly because i don't want to wear out the connectors..

Yeah, $300.
My friend brought over his pair to me to ebay right now.
I've been using it to play CS, it is a very good headphone.
But I seriously woulnd't spend over a hundred on it though.

wee just ordered a pair, gonna see how it compare to my V6. I agreed that headphones should be portable, but big ones do fall alot when you shake ur head or something and the cable is a little bit too long to bring out.

These things are awesome! I bought a pair on closeout a few years back at CC for $15 and it was the deal of the year for me. I was SHOCKED at how good they were. I had the same experience with the Sportapro's, especially after I replaced the thick earpads with Radio Shack ear pads to cut some of the bass heaviness. I would've never even given Koss a chance if it weren't for what I read about the inexpensive Koss headphones on headwize.com.

These things were selling for $100 on Ebay? Where did you see this?

Hmmm, then I guess Bose must be all that you have ever used.

I like Senn MX400's for the price/convenience (I probably should have bought them instead of the 500's; didn't realize this volume control was so lame).
I'd kind of like some new Koss 'phones too, but I just don't listen to portables enough to justify it. And what I really need is some replacement foam for these Senn HD 414's.

Oh, the fit of Senn earbuds kind of suck, BTW. They are perfectly round, so they don't fit all that well, and they aren't (to me) comfortable without the pads. If you don't need the portability of earbuds, KSC35's or 50's are probably the best way to go, although the Senn's aren't too bad either.

Worth pointing out, as much as everyone loves the 35's, that the 50's can be had for next to nothing and are very similar.
