Fan controller

I need one...what is the best brand? I just need it to adjust 4 fans to a quieter level. I would turn them down until they were quiet but still want to have them cranked when necessary. Maybe have 1 exhaust on or near full and slow down the others as they make mucho noise.

the vantec nexus has all of the adapters and everything, it works awesome and shoots a blue light in ur computer as a bonus.

svc is out of 4 pin to 3 pin adapters. I'll need 2 more of these cables for my system in order to use all the connections on the nexus I ordered.

The Vantec Nexus looks the spiffiest, but isn't the best. The lowest you can set it to is 7V, which isn't gonna be too quiet or silent. And many say that it makes humming sounds when set to low voltages. This one looks pretty nice here.

7v isn't 60% or whatever. it doesn't work that way. 7v is more like 25%. 7v is fine. you go lower if you don't want your fans to turn on.

I went with a nexus controller a couple of months ago and I'm very satisfied with it. (I don't detect any "humming" noises at lower voltage settings either.)

I tested my zalman fanmate 1 to see where the nicest performance/noise area would be. I went all the way to a low of 5V and it was totally quiet, but the cfm was probably pathetic. After uping to an area where I would say 7 to 9 volts, it was more cfm and I began to hear a faint humming noise. So i geuss a 7V limit is good enough.
