Question Fan Hub Question

Hello. Im using the Noctua NA-FH1 fan hub, I connected a back BeQuiet Pure Wings 2 120mm DC fan to FAN 1 Slot, as instructed, also connected the fan hub with the package-included NA-EC1 4pin PWM input cable to it and, in turn, to a motherboard CHASIS FAN HEADER. The other chasis fan header is for the front intake DC fan. I have also connected a SATA from the power supply to the fan hub. However, I can not control this back DC fan's speed, not even in BIOS, no matter the setting. There's no other fans in the case. Can you please tell me what is going on ?

With two case fans and a motherboard with two chassis fan headers, you do not need that fan hub.

Discard that fan hub and connect that DC fan directly to the second chassis fan header from the motherboard (and set that chassis fan header in DC mode from BIOS/UEFI).

The NA-FH1 is a [...] 8 channel PWM fan hub that allows up to eight PWM fans to be run and controlled simultaneously via a single PWM motherboard fan header or stand-alone controllers such as the optional NA-FC1. Non-PWM fans can be controlled by adjusting the input voltage.

By "input voltage", Noctua refers to either the SATA power input connector of the hub which is used by the hub preferentially, or the 4-pin fan input plug of the hub, whose power pins are only used if the SATA input isn't connected.

If you supply constant voltage on the SATA input, non-PWM fans on this hub run at constant speed.

If you leave the SATA input of the hub disconnected, and you switch the chassis fan header to DC mode in the BIOS, you can control the speed of non-PWM fans on the hub's outputs.

(At least that's my understanding.)
