Fan Model/Speed/CFM Rec for Prolimatech Megahalem?

Any recommendation for fan speed/CFM for the Prolimatech Megahalem?

I was thinking of using one (1) Scythe S-flex 120 mm fan, either 1200 or 1600 RPM.

System is an i7-920 with plans to overclock to just 3.4 ghz max.

Yeah those should be fine at that speed. I would also try the Gentle Typhoon, apparently it has a higher static pressure which would be ideal for a HS.

I use the Scythe Kaze Maru 1900rpm which runs at 930rpm in near silence until the CPU is cranked up and then my MB cranks up the fan and even on 100% CPU it won't exceed 80C. But I'm running at 4Ghz. So at 3.4ghz I can't see why a Gentle Typhoon at 1440 RPM wouldn't work. If your MB can control fan speeds you can even get the 1900 rpm version for headroom but I doubt it will ever hit that 1900rpm speed depending on how you set it up. My Gigabyte EX58-ud4p allows me to set the fan speeds vs. temps in a Windows program that ships with it.

at only 3.4 which you should be able to do at default voltage settings either of the 2 fans you have listed would be fine, A Gentle Typhoon would also be a very good choice as they preform very well while being quiet, CPU should stay very cool with that cooler

Nothing comes close to a GT for HSF. Unless you already have a ProMeg, a Scythe Mugen 2 would be a better buy for your money, especially OC'ing to only ~3.4ghz.

I have a Nexus (aka. rebadged Yates Loon) on mine, system's fully silent and was maxed at 71C when I pushed it to 4ghz.
It'll do 3.6ghz all day with all 3 system fans on their lowest speeds.

Which is to say, the megahalems is so efficient that as long as you have air moving past it you should be fine.

I've seen that said. I don't know if it's true. I've never seen a YL as free of clicks as the Nexus.
