fans run, all leds light up but nothing happends!

this morning i woke up, went to turn on my montior but it was a blank screen. My pc is always running......so i thought no problem ill just reboot. hold the power button, it shuts off and i restart it. same thing, nothing on the montior. i notice all the leds are on, power, hdd, and cdr is lit. no beeps, no video.

any idea what it could be?

it was the ram.....i played with the ram and one of the dimms were bad.

help people......i put in a new set of dimms i had for a new build and it worked, but same thing happened when i woke up. i was using it fine last night. so i just removed dimm#2 and it booted again. so my guess is its not the ram......is it the motherboard?

Very simple answer, run memtest and see how your ram tests out. If you don't have it go to their website and dl it.

Sounds like the sticks themselves aren't mounting very well, or your bios settings are getting reset when you shut it down.

To help with mounting, pick up some DeoxIT Gold and put on the ram contacts.

Also check your bios settings when you restart or cold boot.
