Fantastic Julian Assange interview

Before crying Russians realize the was a Dartmouth Films interview sold to various broadcasters, RT being one of them. The good news is that JA does not appear to be dead which did seem to be a legitimate possibility over the past month.

I realize Julian Assange is not the darling of this forum (although many here did hold him in high regards when the Chelsea Manning and various other leaks occurred), but I'm curious if anyone disagrees with anything he proclaims during the interview?

Oh god so so much. First, he seems to be totally delusional. He claims they have 'never gotten it wrong' on leaking documents. Did he forget the names and financial information for thousands of donors (regular people) that had no news value? That's a pretty huge wrong.

His claims about Citigroup creating the Obama cabinet are ridiculous, indefensible, and shitty innuendo. His comments about arms sales doubling under Clinton refer to the effects of basically a single deal, making them incredibly misleading. I could go on but that was just the stuff that jumped out immediately.

Assange seems to be consumed by his grievances with Clinton and if you look at the Wikileaks twitter account it's basically become Breitbart lite. It's sad to see that he's trashed an organization that was originally a great thing.

I stopped taking it seriously at the beginning when Assange rants about the FBI becoming the "political police" and then mentions Petraeus giving classified information to his mistress.

I'm sorry, but there's nothing political, only criminal as far as sharing classified information to someone not privy to it. And as a former general and ex-CIA head, he certainly knew quite a bit of classified info.

not to mention what fskimospy pointed out about innocent people whose personal information was leaked from such disclosures.....ie private medical information.

There's emails from Citi naming the Obama cabinet before he's actually elected, most of them actually turn out to be cabinet members. There's also emails of them saying they need to be careful not to be an appearance that Citi plays by different rules when they do.

His not getting it wrong part means that none of the documents released were fake, everything they've leaked has been authentic.
