FAQ's for forum?

As a relatively new member, I must say that I really enjoy the forums. One of the things I have noticed is that certain topics come up again and again, with somewhat varying degrees of accuracy and opinion in the replies. For example, I just read a great how-to on soldering posted by cautery in Cases/cooling. I suspect that the mods are busy people, and that their contributions are more a labor of love than anything else. But perhaps, just perhaps, a little bit of time could be used to organize some of the best of the members replies into a faq file, an ongoing endeavor to make the best info easily and permanently available? Just an idea....

In the Distributed Computing Forum, we HAVE FAQ's that we update frequently Want see progess in science? Prove encryption? Attempt to find alines? Come to the Distributed Forum, we have and update FAQ's. Its not JUST about distributed computing....join us

Great! Also as a new member would you add something about pointclick and/or Roger's rules or guide on how to trade on anand (or any other board for that matter.) Thanks. I think that these would be helpful because in every onvi4 deal thread there are tons of questions regarding pointclick. The trading guide by Roger would be great. I think everyone would benefit from that information.

If we could get a little bit of space and a link from anandtech, I bet many members would be willing to compile faqs. The real question is whether or not any new members would actually bother reading them. After all, many people ask questions that were answered only a few posts down...
