I agree, as a stand alone game it is better than both HL2 and Doom 3 (online multiplayer is not as good though)

I had a ti4200 when i first started playing the game. I don't remember the settings i was using but certain levels were unplayable because it was so choppy. I got a radeon 9800 pro at the time and it fixed the problem.

I played this game with a 9800 Pro on a 2.8Ghz system. To make the game playable for me, I went from 512MB to 1GB RAM (it was choppy at 512MB). Smooth as butter with 1GB. Anyone play it smoothly with less than a GB of RAM?

Great game BTW, I enjoyed it more than Doom3 but maybe not as much as Painkiller.

Okay, I used to have a TI 4200 and CS:Source was playable on it. I upgraded my mobo to a PCI -e connection with onbard Xpress 200 and CS: Source was unplayable even on the lowest levels. However I did manage to get through Farcry ok. So by that rationale, you should be fine. Won't be able to turn up the eyecandy and may get choppy in one or two areas, but all in all should be fine.

PS...bought an x700 and everything plays fine now!

Please don't complain about what cards you have to play Farcry with. I had to play nearly all of Farcry on a Geforce 4 MX.

I just finished Far Cry at the weekend - god was that Volcano level difficult!

Stopped playing for a few weeks due to that and was attemtping to cheat myway though it....

Anyway the "-devmode" command line edit did not work for me and I had to complete the game in the standard manner
