far cry is amazing

If my system was beefier I'd probably pick it up. Right now it's probably my dad's favorite game. I'm envious of his system. He's beat that thing multiple times on the hardest difficulty. My dad can beat your dad at Far Cry!

That game is not even funny at the highest difficulty. I barely made it on the easiest.

I went to BB today and picked up a new 23" LCD HDTV and played a few scenes on it and it's hardly the same game, I think I'll be doing it all over again.

It rocks with an X800XT PE. I got right to the end (volcano) and it was unbelievably tough, so I quit there, still like to go back and play random levels now and then.

They're pretty vulnerable to shotguns. About 8 shots in the head will do it, but you can hit them with rockets that many times and they don't flinch.

The volcano is definitely the hardest, it took me about 100 tries to make it but it was worth it to finish the game.

I've had Far Cry, Doom 3, and Chronicles of Riddick for the PC for like 6-12 months now (guesstimate), and haven't opened any of them yet. I played Half-Life 2 pretty far into the game, to the point you start having squad commands in the city area, but haven't played that in a while.

Eventually I'll get myself motivated to try those other 3 games out.

Insticts is xbox only, and I think it's pretty much the same game.

I remember shooting the ropes on the boat. The carrier drove me nuts.
I ended up cheating through it, but the cheats eventually borked the game and I got stuck in a dead end. I gave up.
