If it's still going after payday (1st), then yea, I'll grab it. That's low enough that in order to save any more money, I'm going to sit around waiting and hoping... Not worth my time or stress.

Is it any different from Far Cry 4 which is the same as Far Cry 3 so with the name Far Cry, I worry it be the same game-play. But if it different, I'm down.

I foresee this game being much more difficult than the previous Far Cry games, I mean think about it, all you have are spears, bow and arrow, and bee bombs?

It seems like it would have to be. No more sniper rifle has to make things a little harder.

I am still trying to decide if I want to pre-order this today to get some $$ off or just wait for the price to drop and a few patches. I loved FC3 and FC4, so it's really tempting me. But, I liked the gun play in those games. I'm not sure a game with nothing more than stone age weapons is going to be that much fun.

Looks good but I'm not ready to play anything Far Cry again after spending 20 hours in FC4.

This is different, but at the same time exactly like FC3/4. Just not ready for it again.

Yeah this seems like a great deal to me. GMG has great deals on new games somehow.

Even so though, I am sure I won't go for this one. I just can't see myself getting into it, just like 2 & 3. I didn't even try 4.

Though, I will admit, this looks really really good.

They lost me when they added all the collecting and crafting in the third one, that crap has NO place in a first person shooter. The original Far Cry is the only one worth playing IMO.

I almost feel like they should have given the series a new name starting with Far Cry 2. I can understand people really liking the first game but not the rest because they are so different. I like the newer formula myself, but it is certainly a lot more grindy than a traditional run and gun FPS.

It's a new spin on the same old Far Cry, but there's nothing wrong with that. The game runs very well and can be set up for clean, clear anti-aliased visuals. I suspect the lack Nvidia gameworks features is the reason for the game running so well.

I got a couple of hours in last night and so far I am liking the game. Like pretty much every review out there states, this feels very much like Far Cry 3 and 4 in terms of mechanics and things to do.

It does seem like the game is a bit less story driven so far. The initial tutorial part of the game (first hour or so) you are being guided for sure, but once that is over the game just sort of dumps you into the world without a lot of direction. That, or perhaps in my haste to start seeing things I might have skipped some dialogue. You really have to take a little time and read what people are telling you because they aren't speaking English.

I do like that there seems to be an actual reason to be collecting things this time around. You need to be able to craft things like arrows and spears rather than just buying them at a store like in the previous games.
