FarCry Ammo Dump -???

O.k. the camp is all cleared out, nobody's standing. I have the C4 and a green key card. I go over to the bunker where all the ammo is but the door is closed and I can't find any way to open it nor any place on the bunker to plant the explosive. What am I missing?

Are you sure you are at the correct building? You don't need a key to get in the building as the key gets you into the gate where the arms are stored. The place where you plant explosives will be flashing orange or something.

I checked every building and the one with "explosives" is the one I have to C4. The metal door that is just opposite the Briefing tent is the entrance to the ammo building but that door is closed. I don't know...maybe I have to go back an extra checkpoint and start from there?

maybe i constantly had to do that throughout the game. The quick save feature has alot of glitches, i even had to repeat a whole level once.

I'm not using the quick save feature. However I did go back one check point to see if reapproaching the camp would fix the armory door problem...but no go. Maybe I need to go back one level?

The first building as you enter the camp on your right next to the tent, there should be a key card on the desk.

Thanks. But read my first post.

I went over to the FarCry forums and found a bunch of threads related to this problem. Aparently it's a bug that still hasn't been fixed. Most people start the Pier level over again (from the start) and the armory door problem goes away. I'll try this solution and post back later.

Yep, that was it. I went back to the start of the Pier level (actually I blew up the satellite dish one more time to re-enter the Pier level) and sure enough, when I got to the armory, I was able to walk right through the front door to the back room and plant the C4.

This game rocks with the SLI'd 7800GTX's all maxed out. The water looks so much better at an ultra high setting.

I've beat Veteran level.

You already have the card key from the desk in the 1st bldg on the right (just past the tent),
and you already have the explosive pack from the last (3rd) bldg on the left.

Enter the ammo dump bldg. which is the last building on the right. (Straight across from the bldg where you got your explosives). I never encountered the main door into the bldg as locked.

Inside the bldg there's a locked door to the cage w/ ammo. I assume you refer to this door in your OP. You don't really even need to open that locked door unless you want to go into the cage & replenish your stuff. Your card key opens it (F key).

Look at the pile of boxes OUTSIDE the locked cage, but still inside the same big room as the locked ammo cage. You should see a faint red spot ON THE PILE OF BOXES where you plant your explosive (with the F key) then run.

Then go to the single bldg way off in the distance and take either of the 2 2-door buggy jeeps. As you drive past that bldg it's doors open & you shoot 2 attackers who drive out behind you.

Then you must leave your 2-door buggy and instead get into their 4-door jeep, because it has a rocket launcher (X key) you'll need.


P.S. I looked at your rig specs in MyAnandtech. How come you're running that nice AMD 3500+ and that good OCZ RAM at only 2200 MHz? Those were made to overclock, man! Why not 2600MHz or more?
