Farcry Free w/ purchase of Athlon 64 and Mobo @ ZipZoomFly

Buy a retail Athlon 64 and a qualifying motherboard and get FarCry for free. I don't know if the Farcry is a mail-in deal or what, but when I checked out, FarCry was in my cart, so maybe it just comes in the box with everything else.

I recently did a deal similar to this from ZZF.
I bought the 3000+ with the Chaintech mobo.

Unless money is really tight I would recommend going with the more expensive MSI Neo Platinum/A64 combo to get the free copy of farcry.

My VNF3-250 was DOA, and not mysteriously DOA.
It came factory sealed with the metal foil-like leads on the bottom of the board partially melted or scraped off in multiple areas. The PCI slots on the board did not line up well with the openings in my new Sonata case either. Also, Chaintech has yet to release an official update to the bios, only several "beta" releases that you need to get from other users, as they are not available on their website. And they have the SLOWEST website I have ever seen. Try downloading some drivers from their site before spending your money on their products. I know many people seem to be very happy with their VNF3-250, but I doubt I will buy another chaintech product after seeing the quality of the board I received.

Fortunately, ZZF, was very good about the RMA, and my MSI Neo Platinum is on the way.

The ZZF price on the Neo Platinum is about as good as it gets right now.
To get the free copy of farcry, you do need to buy the A64 and mobo together.

I think the difference is that most places stopped doing the promotion, or ran out of copies of farcry.
ZZF was backordered on FC for a while, but have them again, as I got this deal about a week ago.

I jumped on a 3200 and VNF3-250 a couple weeks back. While technically not new, this is probably the best deal you'll find around currently, especially if they still have copies of FC shipping with combos. Though they just give you the DVD in a white CD envelope, you can't beat the price (free) or the free 2nd day.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I had zero problems with installation. Everything went in nice and easy. If it wasn't for the obvious temp readout bug (right now it says my CPU is running at 32C, which is probably cooler than my room) I'd say this was as close to perfect as you can get. Hopefully they'll release a new non-beta bios soon so I can flash this sucker.
