This is what happens when you hand pick the Baltimore Ravens to come in and close down your stadium.

IMHO it's almost a travesty that they tore that stadium down. Irving will probably never have another major venue like that again, it was great for concerts and events, and the acoustics were far better than the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington. It would have also been a killer place to let the high school teams play exhibitions or finals.

how many times have you been there? Last time I went was 3 years ago and it was a piece of crap then. Irving is idiots for not offering to help more, just like Dallas. It would have been incredible to have the Cowboys back in Dallas.

No one wanted to actually go to that stadium, they were going to either tear it down or spend a lot to refurbish it.

Ah, it wasn't that bad as big stadiums go, I was there in '06 last. The seats were of course a bit small, but actually more comfortable than the American Airlines center. I went there not long ago for a Mavs game, and was just horrified at the absolutely terrible seating. It was still way better than the Cotton Bowl, which is far older. Where else in Irving can you hold a concert for 70k fans?

The real question is why would anyone go to Irving now? It has nothing. They might as well rename the Dallas Cowboys to the Ft. Worth Cowboys as they are s stone's throw away from Ft. Worth where as it's a 30-45 minute drive to Dallas.
