Farking new Hotmail site layout

I mean, come on, how hard is it to build a site that doesn't require horizontal scrolling at 1024x768? I know I have my taskbar on the side of the screen, but that still should require me to scroll sideways to read my damn mail.

Also, whose idea was all that empty white space with no divisions between function groupings in the left-side navigation bar? And why is that bar so wide? And why are they using gigantic fonts? Overall it's a pretty bad re-design.

Anyone else annoyed with this?

Buy a 22" monitor, works fine on mine lol. I don't think it's all that bad, but yes the left side nav is huge, just need to get used to it I guess. I do like the larger fonts

Huh? I agree the font is too big but the preview window is a great addition. Emails load much faster. And my messages wrap around so I don't have to scroll at all to read an email.

Solution : set up Windows Mail (for Vista), Thunderbird, or whatever, to use as your hotmail client.

They had the preview window in the old version. It's not new.

But seriously, I had hotmail for about a year a while back, and I had tremendous problems with messages getting deleted without me telling it to. It was a good 5 years ago though and I'm sure they've improved but it still left me not a fan. Never had any problems with gmail, and they have one of the best spam filters of any free service out there.
