I've been walking faster and faster and now can average 5 mph for a long distance (4-8 miles depending on the day). I'm using nike walkers. I wear EE width (sucks).
I'm 292 lbs.
On my right foot the front pad on my food on the left closest to big toe develops pain that almost feels liking bruising (like I'm pounding it).
Combination of weight - shoe, what else? What could I do. I have aspirations to start jogging when I reach 250 or so, and if I'm hurting now . . .
