Fastest Mobile Video Card?

I'm looking to buy a laptop soon, I figured since i'm shelling out about 2k on the setup I might as well get the best video card I can. I was looking at the Dell 5150 w/ 64mb GF Fx Go5200 then I started browsing the 8600's and noticed that it has the Radeon 9600pro Turbo 128mb video.
I'm just browsing at the moment, I'm actually waiting for my tax return before I actually make the decision, so in the next few months are there going to be a faster mobile video card coming out because I read something about GeForce Fx go5700 and go5650

I believe Radeon 9600Pro mobile is the fastest. At least it should be with AA/AF on and in DX9 apps.

Until Nvidia comes up with anything better, I believe the 9600 pro is the Laptop champ for now. But unfortunately, they are only an option in the higher end laptops AFAIK. Affordable laptops will only have the 9000 or 9100 option from what I have seen. But, things change everyday these days.

theres a mobile geforce fx 5700, that should dominate the mobile market for awhile.

I have a laptop with the Mobilit Radeon 9600 128mb in it and it is very good. I got the laptop from www.sagernotebooks.com while i was in Iraq. Actually they were the only people who would ship to me with out a huge hassle. Anyways, I play Soldier of Fortune 2 and C&C Generals on it with no probs at pretty high framerate (above 100 fps). I think you wont be disappointed with it.

I remember i read a review(was it here? or THG) that the mobility 9600 beat the 5700 mobile chip in most games. Maybe it was the drivers at the time so I'm not sure now but the 9600/5700 mobile would ebt eh fastest chips you can get.

The 5700 is actually being released to offer some competition to the 9600 because nVidia's own mobile 56xx really doesn't do to well in comparison... but even if the mobile 5700 does take a lead ATI seems to have a replacement for their M10 Mobile 9600, the M11 Mobile 9700...now whether or not the M11 is going to be a true mobile 9700 or just an improved 9600 remains to be seen, either way I'd put money on it to be the king of the mobile gaming market

Another option to consider is the fact that the ATI mobile chips are designed to be upgraded. i.e. take out old chip, pop in new one, game away. I dont think that you can do that with the NVIDIA but I havent researched that.

Its a head to head between Mobility Radeon 9600 and the NVIDIA Geforce 5650. To save you a little time reading it. The 9600 thoroughly trounced the NVIDIA, embarassingly so IMO.
