the hard-wired programming that was mentioned occurs on evolutionary time scales... hundreds of thousands of years to millions of years. Examples from contemporary history for a preference for fat people is just coincedental cultural bias, and has nothing to do with our 'wiring.'

if you want to know what we are wired for there is only one place you need to look... hunter gatherer culture that no longer exists on earth. before the fatties created by modern agriculture and sedentary lifestyle, humans were on the move All The Time. eating low callrie diets with the occasional hunted meat... lots of fruit, nuts, seeds... walking, walking, walking, running, running.

so ask yourself what the healthy look was from our the shrew-like ancestors in the Jurassic ------ to -----> neanderthal ---- to ------> hunter gatherer humans of 15,000 years ago... what did healthy look like to all those animal ancestors whose DNA we have inhereted...

I guarantee you that NEVER in all that time did "Healthy" look like the hagen-daaz stuffed plus-sized sedentary models of today.

I find it sad when people don't do anything about their weight. They usually look like a new person, feel much better, look much better, and are much more confident.

i can see why they lose control though. i know when my stomach is chrons'in out, i start eating a LOT. my stomach can get bloated from food, and it takes some pretty good discipline to get it flat again...

but thats just it. the fact that it takes discipline is what makes it hot. its not attractive to know your mate cant control their weight, and it makes you wonder what else they cant control in life..

Agreed. Obesity causes so many health problems. It should not be acceptable and that woman is not a healthy weight. I wouldn't be surprised if she got high blood pressure, heart disease, or anything of that nature within a few years.
