Where I went to school (WA state), grade school is K-6, Junior High is 7-9, and HS is 10-12. Other school districts nearby are a little different, where middle school is 6-8, and HS is 9-12. Varies by district and tradition, even within a state so I would be wary of making blanket "for us" statements to someone from a different country.

If you're bullied, ALWAYS fight back no matter the consequences (I don't mean doing something stupid like using weapons), but always fight back, and never back down.
Got bullied many times during grade school- if you fight the fucker they don't mess with you again.

not really bullying if you are picking on someone huge people seem to miss the point, real bullying involves fear, because the person being picked on has no recourse. this was a little brat picking a fight with someone who knew they could kick their ass but probably just held it back until then. i mean really that fat kid looked annoyed more than anything else.

I know that some places say "Junior High" and others say "Middle School." What I was saying is that the facebook poster said "high school" while "Junior High" != "High School" no matter what your region calls 6th-8th grade. Where's all the credits, block scheduling, college prep, etc? It's only called that to make the little guys feel like they are growing up and it isn't supposed to be referred to as "high school" without "Jr" like the FB user did in their explanation.

I was bullied mercilessly all through grammar school for various reasons (too tall, too skinny, not good at sports, etc.).
Until the 6th grade.
In the 6th grade one of worst bullies was bugging me just as school was starting while I was sitting at my desk. At that point I completely f-ing, ape-sh*t snapped on his a*s.
During the "fight" (he never knew what hit him) I threw him *over* (not across) a 6-foot table (i.e. I lifted him up and threw him to the floor on the other side of the table).
By the time the teacher got to us, I was on top of him again, pounding his face. I was going to kill him.
Obviously, we were sent to the principal's office where we sat on each end of a couch for hours.
Unbeknownst to me, the principal was interviewing *every kid in the class*. They apparently confirmed that I had been bullied forever by this bully and was sitting at my desk when the bully came to me, etc.
My mom (who was the school secretary at the next school over), came to collect me, but not until she told the principal (not in front of me) that she was glad I finally fought back and that the bully deserved it (I was not his only victim). I was "sent home" for the day (a Friday), but it did not go on my record.
Based on the information he had received in the interviews, both about the fight and the bully's general reputation in the class, he was suspended for three days. His father, a city councilman, was not happy.
When I returned on Monday, I was a hero for a day and the bullying stopped. The bully basically stayed away from me for the most part after that.
A couple years later, the bully invited me to his Bar Mitzvah, which I attended because all my friends form our temple were going to be there (the bully and I belonged to the same temple, too). The place-cards originally had me sitting next to the Bar Mitzvah boy, but I moved my card to sit at the end of the table and with my friends.
Cliffs/Moral of the story?
The fastest way to stop a bully is to kick his ass, if you can (I was not sure if I could until I did it. The kid in the video obviously has the size to take care of most kids his age).
You may lose a day or two of school in the short-run, but the long-term benefits far outweigh the negatives.

If you're that much of an arrogant prick at that age, you will be worse as an adult.
If he is crippled, he is much less likely to hurt anyone ever again.
