'unhealthy' food is unrelated to obesity
you can easily lose weight eating the junkiest of junk foods
you just have to eat less of it
I'd wager you're under 35 yrs old? Trust me, I never ate particularly healthily but now? I can no shit gain a belt loop from a week of garbage eating, no matter the quantity (like one piece of pizza from papa john's for dinner, a five guys small cheeseburger w/out fries, shit like that). Carb-rich, bready, sugar'd, etc food can increase your weight very very quickly, calories be damned.
I can eat like a horse if it's chicken, fish, or starchless veggies, as I've said before, and still lose weight.
But after having a kid, I now see why some people prefer it and it is definitely easier to go through a drive through with a young child than getting out of your car and bringing them in with you.
This. Sister-in-law has three kids and it takes her like two goddamn hours to get out the house because she has to chase those fuckers around asking them where their shoes are.
I'm doing a keto diet (or similar to it) right now to try and lean up a bit. I've been doing it since last Monday and going below 40g of net carbs a day. I thought maybe I would cheat on the weekend but I made it through, even with a few beers of low carbs. I have already dropped 6lbs in 11 days. A lot of it is water weight I'm pretty sure, but I'm going to try and see if I can keep it up until early March when I go on vacation. I may take a cheat meal here or there though just not yet. It's going to be hard with the Super Bowl on Sunday and a company party next weekend.
Also last weekend was the first weekend I went without eating out in probably 20 years lol.
Good on you. Make sure to keep eating though, fasting can cause your body to start throwing stuff in fat reserves. During my 'diet' I ate an absolute crapton (probably 2500-3000 calories), like an entire chicken for lunch kind of eating. Fat melted away. You might be surprised how little of that is water weight though unless you've also been sweating a lot. If you're urinating clear still you're good, keep drinking water though, it only helps (and keeps you from reaching for sodas and bottles of frosting and shit).
consider steaming instead of boiling, a lot of nutrients end up in the water. i've been ordering delivery a lot lately as a luxury. if i'm cooking it's usually just breakfast food, sandwiches, and canned soup.
Or throw them on a pan with some olive oil and bake 'em for 20 minutes. Like every vegetable is better that way
