This post serves only to reinforce what these protestors believe is wrong with this country. Crap punk bands trying to make a dollar? Did you happen to notices that it was only $6 for the CD and DVD? Considering the overhead, packaging, liner notices, distribution, etc, there is not much of a profit margin here. What proceeds are generated have been donated to the punkvoter.org, so it is essentially non profit. What do they know about politics? Well if you'd taken the time to look a little closer, Fat Mike from NOFX (the founder of Fat Wreck Chords) explains his stance in the liner notes and elsewhere much more coherently and with more substantial evidence that you've provided crapping in my thread. Sick of seeing people speak out against the government? America is not for you then.

Thanks- I like most of the bands and for $6, its a hot deal. For anyone who has purchased this, is the Atari's song a cover of Bad Religion's "Heaven is Falling"?

i hate it when celebrities and artists decided to push their ideal on us. its not like you get a doctorate when you get your first record deal. its like when those (you know who) come and ring your doorbell every other day and tell you to convert or you are going to hell. we all have our own opinions and personally dont want to hear the opinion of a bunch of dropouts rant about something they know nothing about. if i wanted their opinions i would ask for it.

not hot deal... propaganda is usually free. if there were a "punk for bush" cd/dvd it should also be free. people usually pay to get their ideas out to the masses, not the other way around.

Yes, it is, albeit an acoustic one that I didn't care for as much as the original. Still a good song though.

Eh, I thought a lot of the CD was waaaaay too fruity, but there were a couple good songs.
I mainly got it because Rise Against was on there with a new song, which was a decent song, nothin too great though.
Havent checked the DVD out yet.
And it is a hot deal for $6

How dare anyone question my emperor? CD like this should be burnt, along with books!
People should stop thinking with their heads! Our leaders are the only ones who should think! We are not worthy!

The onlly CD should be allowed is Country Music from Wisconsin! And Iowa!

All you thread crappers are wasting your breath, this thread is within forum rules and the mods' not locking/moving it reaffirms that. If someone else's political views bother you that much, you shouldn't have clicked the thread in the first place.

I may get this for my dad.
He cant stand Bush. I get a good laugh when i talk to him about it. He is voting for Kerry. If u ask him about Kerry, he will mention that he doesnt really care for Kerry but at least he is better than the devil. My own political view is that Ill vote for anyone who really can get us out of Iraq. Unfortunately there is no such candidate. Well, time to stop with the political agenda and get back to this deal. It is almost impossible to tell if this is a truely hot deal since most deals involve a comparison to prices at other stores, rebates, price matching, and BVG. In addition, art is worth what you will pay for it (certainly this is true for everything but more so for art and that is what ill classify this as).
No good reason to get mad at the OP regardless of who you are voting for.

As for comparison pricing, if you look around online it ranges from 7.99-9.99 from what I've seen. Another member posted that it was 9.99 at BB. Fat Wreck is selling it for 6 even plus 2 shipping, that's priority USPS.

Will you think before you type? Your sentence structure once again makes you out to be some kind of idiot.

Yeah, change "should" to "will". LOL

I'm not sure you can say that the post "serves only to reinforce what these protestors believe is wrong with thie country." Maybe it reinforces what YOU think is wrong with the country perhaps? As a 527 organization, one that will no doubt pay for ads against Bush or for GOTV efforts for democrats, this group is helping the Kerry campaign bypass the campaign finance reform that is a law of the land. I am sick of people bitching (oh, I'm sorry, "speaking out") when they can't formulate a "coherent" position without sticking to the Democrat party line. I believe that you Mr. Bat, as well as your hippy punk friends, should be able to shout as loud as you want and protest till you're too tired to chant. Just try to have something to say... ok? As far as "America is not for you then", let's try to be civil. As long as you're willing to show some respect to the soldiers fighting to ensure that you and yours can run your mouths, I'm willing to ignore you. Otherwise... in the words from an immortal South Park episode... "It's on!"

-Tal

Edit: If you didn't intend to make this political, you could have simply linked to a "Hot" deal on a punk compilation. You didn't have to paste all the BS from the AMG review. I've seen you around in P and N enough to know better.

I posted this in hot deals because it is a punk music compilation CD with a DVD for a good price, not because of the theme of the CD or the ideals of the musicians.

Sorry, we're not blind like other yet.

Fat Mike freely admits to his spotty voting record. But that didn't stop him from founding www.punkvoter.org, an organization with a mission to mobilize young voters against President Bush and his administration's policies, and make 2004 the year punk spoke.

Great lets enforce political ideals on the youth....

Although i haven't listened to this type of music in a while, I agree that a CD/DVD for $6 of such groups as these is worthy of being a hot deal. If I were 9 years younger, I would have picked this up in a second. Great post in my opinion for those who enjoy this stuff. And for you threadcrappers, this is not propaganda. I highly doubt this post will sway any political opinions.

i will say, i am a huge supporter of bush. i think he is doing the best with what he has, and doing what he feels is rite. but, most of those bands on the list are my favorite bands of all time. i have seen many of them in concert and have all of their cd's. favorite band of all time, NOFX, favorite cd of theirs "The War On Errorism. My next favorite would be anti-flag "the terror state"

its a damn good deal on the cd, and stores should be selling it for "about $8"

Good deal, if there's a Rock for Bush Vol. 1 that sells for $6 with similar bands, I'd buy it too.
