Better yet, harvest his organs to save lives.

Too fast, and he might survive.

How about a couple years of 24/7 waterboarding at Gitmo? Then if he survives that, dip him in chum and drop him in the middle of the Gulf.

Keep doing it until you get it right.

well, they still haven't found the bodies yet. what if, and this is a theory, he hid the kids somewhere and made this story up? can you imagine the kind of agony his wife is going through now? that would be some creative ass revenge there. in a few days after he decided his wife has had enough, he can be like 'sike, you've been zapped!'

Never did quite understand the mindset of people who do this kind of thing, but sadly, it happens fairly frequently...
Dude, its worse than that. I don't think this was about a possessive dad in a custody dispute. He did this purely to spite his wife. In his twisted mind, he was just saying "How do you like THEM apples?" That is far, far worse.

I hope Hell is real. Just this once.
He'll probably have a real special place in the prison system.
"Oh, killed your four young children, did ya? A real tough guy, huh?"

An interesting theory.

EVERYONE deserves a trial.
Indeed. It must take a special sort of person to be a lawyer - you go into the practice knowing that some day you might take a case of someone like this. I wonder if it's one of those things you get over in law school - "Ok, I am going to defend a client, regardless of what the person did." I couldn't imagine the feeling though of defending someone whom you know is guilty, and then winning the case. Sure it pays well, but you just put a guilty man on the streets.
Until we have a perfect legal system (or even more ideally, a society humans who don't commit crimes), we have to create the best imperfection we can.

But do away with the fair trial system, even in the most obvious cases, and you get the next problem - how to decide what exactly makes a crime a candidate for not having a trial? Who decides? Hmm, maybe we should have a judge and jury determine that...oh wait.

I wonder how law enforcement handles stuff like this.
I know personally I could not work at a jail where someone like this was kept.
I would not be able to resist beating the crap out of the guy, then claiming "oops he slipped in the shower"

Captain: "you tased him 20 times ?"
Me: "Yeah, he just wouldn't stay down "

After watching passenger jets fly into skyscrapers on Sept 11, nothing freaks me out anymore. I've seen all there is to be seen. A big "meh" to this story.

Which poses an interesting question:

Is killing 4 kids worst than killing one adult? If so, how come?

Also, why are you disgusted at this but not disgusted that children die from hunger and poor sanitation all over the world?

I hope that this guy gets Life in a FPMITAHP instead of Death Row. More punishment.
