This really sucks if it's true since FW provides an invaluable service to Hot Dealers.

I hope that Tim gets serious and cleans house but I highly doubt that will happen because of past incidents.

he's not trolling, its basically the truth. it's not posted anywhere because whenever something is started to discuss it posts are deleted and threads are locked. The mods are in cahoots with some of the individuals involved.

apparently a member exploited a bug in their software and was able to log in as another user. he then downloaded that person's private messages. apparently when that user complained it took over 2 weeks to get him banned, despite apparrent proof by third parties of his doings.

there's a huge "clique" over there where life consuming gossip is the highlight of their days.

I've left that place for good. mods here may be dickheads sometimes, but ive never seen the disgusting favoritism and/or vengeance taken out through locks/post deletions that what went on over there.

I was a poster on FW a long time ago (I was visiting Anandtech at the same time too). I started visiting AT more and more over FW because the the Hot Deals and Off Topic forums are much larger here. IMHO, seems like there's too much bitching about Anandtech in the FW Off Topic forums. Every day I'd see someone say "Anandtech sucks!" or "anandtech moderators suck!". Plus, their compu guru/elite member guy was an ass to me when I made a Mac thread. Whatever... I've pretty much taken up lurker status over there so I don't care. For the record though, I still think the Hot Deals forum is of good quality over there. The general population in FW Hot Deals are nice people.

It appears that MyCoupons is going down the tubes too... I hear their mods are (were?) the most biased asses of them all... but I never visit there.

you can never be sure your privacy has/hasn't been violated! especially on-line. i dont see what the big deal is if someone can read your PM's.
