Hi,
I just put together a computer with:
AMD Athlon II X4 640
Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 (AM3)
4GB Kingston ValueRam KVR1333D3N9K2/4G DDR3 1333MHz Dual Memory Kit
Windows 7 64bit
And Windows keeps blue screening on me with a "MEMORY_MANAGER" error after I've been using it for a few minutes (that time can vary). A google serach brings up various people that had the issue, and various solutions. I first ran MemTest through several times and it passed 100%.
Then I unplugged everything that wasn't essential. I was left with just the motherboard, CPU, RAM and one hard drive. I removed the PCIe graphics card, the front usb ports, the DVD drive etc. Booted up... and soon enough it still crashed.
I then tried moving the 2 sticks to RAM to the other slots, and it hasn't crashed since! Very happy, but still confused. The manual recommended if I have 2 sticks of RAM to put them in the first two slots (blue colored, next to each other), and it wasn't until I moved them out of there that the crashing stopped.
It's a huge pain to send my motherboard back but what do you guys think? Likely to be a faulty motherboard?
Thanks!
