Faulty Power Supply?

I have a Gigabyte based board that works fine for a week or so, shutting it down each day after use. Eventually the PC powers on and no video is seen. There are no BIOS error beep codes, and I really have no way of knowing whether or not it loads Windows without video. The first time it happened, I opened the case and reseated the video card and all was well. The second time I pulled the CMOS battery, resetting the BIOS to defaults - worked fine. I then upgraded the BIOS to see if it would work out any bugs. The problem has returned a third time, and I am beginning to suspect the power supply. A new video card has already been purchased and installed without any change. Any thoughts?

The bad thing about Power Supplies is that they can cause so many strange problems, I had a computer I was working on that would restart every couple of days for no reason while being used...replaced the PS and all has been good since. If the PS has any age on it and is not good quality change it. The only other thing it could be is the Motherboard which could be damage by the PS going bad also.

Posting your components and PSU stats (i.e. +12V rail) would likely get you some responses - unless you just want some guesses.

If you don't have Motherboard Monitor go here and download and install it. It will give you a readout of your 3.3, 5 and 12v rails. They should not dip below 5%. Any lower and problems can occur.
