pit bull by a mile but i don't have one.
1. Short hair
2. Like people very emotional will be your best friend ever, ours used to sleep in our bed
3. Gamest dog on the planet. Never quit never die attitude whether running, fly ball and of course what it's known for fighting
i don't have one due to hyper dog aggression and he tried to kill my labs so i shot him in the head.
wtf?
I agree. Our labs are outside dogs to the hair problem. Plus the fact they go in and out of the pool and pond all day and get that wet dog smell. But labs are #1 in so far as hunting dogs. They can't point the best like a pointer who are mentally retarded, They can't flush the best like Spaniels. But they are top 10 in both categorizes and obviously the best retrievers and very very intelligent. Even over a slushy frozen pond they will go get a duck. No other dog will do this. No other dog learns the hunting as well either. I had my trained before their first birthday. All it takes is time every day for about 6 months and you'll have a serious asset on your hands. Love the labs. Plus they probably have never bit anyone in the history of man. Very good with children.
I agree.
It's funny how Labs are underrated to non-dog folks. They are seriously cool though.
Examples:
"Hey I brought a Lab home."
reply: "oh...okay...cool I guess."
"Hey I brought home a German Shepard."
reply : "OMGRABBITBBQ!!! Bring it over now, I wantz to see it!"
That's because labs are usually stupid and aggressive. Shepards are usually smart and sociable (if they get sufficient exercise). Shepards bond strongly with their person, labs wake up to a new world every five minutes.I agree.

Are you kidding me? They require 300% more time spent training than other dogs, but they aren't stupid. That's because labs are usually stupid and aggressive. Goldens are great with kids. I wouldn't trust a white, yellow, or chocolate lab anywhere near children. Are you kidding me? They require 300% more time spent training than other dogs, but they aren't stupid.
Now Goldens, stupid yet instinctively clever. Perfect for kids and young families though.
I approve.
Have any for watching your goats or other herd animals?

Yeah what of it? I've killed over 40,000 animals in my lifetime between hunting and fishing. I will not have a liability who is killing my other animals. Nor will I give a liability to someone else. Like a man I deal with it no matter how gut wrenching it was.
