Just want to get an idea of browser preferences, and why, from the web's savviest users This is just out of curiousity as a web developer.

Personally, I've been using NS 7.1 for several months now because of the tabbed browsing and the pop-up blocker. I've just decided to give Firebird a test spin today. It seems ok so far, but seems a little slower than both IE 6 and NS 7.1.

Mozilla Firebird has been working well for me the past few months after switching from IE6. Can't say I've tried any other alternatives.

Hey, Avant is pretty good! I like how it imported my IE settings. Seems like it's built on the IE engine. Do the same security flaws apply?

You bet they still apply.
I personally love Firebird.

MyIE2

As much as I would like to get away from the IE engine and use Firebird, I really like being able to enable/disable scripts, plug-ins, proxies, and ad filters on the fly. Super Drag + Drop is awesome too.

The customizations are outstanding and the plugins available are great too.
